hopefully people remember next time to not get all emotional from tracklists and production credits before they even hear the music.

I remember years ago when the Godson tracklist came out and nikkas on SOHH went crazy over a song called “Dance”. Thinkin it was gonna be a “Bravehearts Party “. Lol

Awesomeness
I know people saying he's talking about Cole, but I think Nas was talking about Tragedy on King's Disease

"You a king, you will be next to me, doing your own king shyt, most definitely
We're so "Say less when I speak", y'all estrogen speak
Respected by kings only, address me as chief
Invested in things only a vet would
Only lames front on kings, that's expected from creeps
You mad at my nikkas and any woman with any interest in me
You could've made it (You was good), look at all the time wasted

Now you gotta retract statements, shoulda stuck to the basics
All you had to do was tell the truth, like, fukk all the fake shyt
You should want every brother to make it out
But brothers want trophies, they troll for clout

Rap is weird, weird flex, but okay
You ain't as ill as you think, you just okay
You got pressed in the hood, fix your jibs up
I'm on top Stop fighting it, yo, stop with the over-righteousness
"

Specifically what's highlighted. Am I bugging?

I honestly felt like that shyt was directed at hov...

i love Nas as much as the next (logical) Nas fan, and he's always going to be my #1 favorite rapper

however, this album does not move me at all. seems blah, incomplete and with a lack of passion.

also disappointed in Hit Boy's beats. given his track record, thought he'd come with some diff sounding bangers.

i'll give it another couple spins, but not crazy about the sound or content.

it's fine because, in my mind, Nas' career truly closed with Life Is Good...all of this after that is just blah.
You ain't fucc with LT2? Come on dogs...

Umm. Nah. Maybe on THIS track because Nas was basically letting them shine. AZ didn’t have a better verse in Life’s A bytch. Didn’t have a better verse on Mo Money Mo Murda. Didn’t have a better verse on How Ya Livin. Didn’t have a better verse on The Flyest. Didn’t have a better verse on The Essence. Didn’t have the better verses on Serious either,
AZ Lifes a bytch verse is legendary, same with the flow. Opened that shyt guns blazin...

Just finished this album in the whip but I don’t know if it’s the AC blowing in my face but this album cuts deep and emotional at some points. An album hasn’t done that to me in a minute. This is why this nikka is one of the goats to me nikka still sounds like 96 Nas which is wild to me. Excellent Album from King Nasir. It might be in one of my top 5 Nas albums.
