I loved both, especially Durk, but I see what you mean. Sean too.
I don't understand how some people aint feeling Durk on that shyt, smh, how? Of course he isn't Nas, or even half of Nas as a lyricist, but he says that shyt you can feel. I've only heard like 3 Durk songs in my entire life so who am I to say that definitively, but I know on this shyt he was perfect, shockingly. Nas says he's his favorite new age rapper for a reason.

Now the Fivio kid, that's really the only part of the album I don't love, that verse is too light for a Nas album, might as well just had put Jungle on that shyt, lol

Big Sean was fire to me, fit perfectly.

It’s mumble rap. fukk mumble rap.
I feel you, you're a traditional boom bap hip hop head, I'm on that timing too like 90% of the time...because that mumbly/inaudible rapping usually sounds wack to me.

But sometimes when a Young Thug, or Durk or whoever, do it and it actually sounds dope I can't knock it just because its mumbling. At the end of the day all we should be caring about is if it sounds good or not, Durk sounded good as hell on that shyt to me. Would that even be considered mumble rap? I understood every word.

People are just tired of the sing songy autotune flow. It’s tired as hell, but that’s not even Durk’s fault. It’s just way too many people that use that style.

I think Nas is gonna do 100k first week. All the reviews and critics and shyt agree this is probably album of the year...and it's all over social medias. I worry that the kids won't check for it...because they're kids...but I think the 25+ crowd will show out and support the big homie.

One of the few people who actually did support Illmatic with ur money. And u wonder why he switched it up? Tell all ur real hip hop head friends they should’ve bought the album too. Tell The Source not to snub him for Bad Boy at The Source awards.

the source could easily dispatch.
your false recount of the full narrative culturally emceewise.
to dispatch publically your shot at them.
by easily saying to you in reply.
tell nas not to no show his shows.
which by nas's own admission.
is also why politically nas lost that award.
as i am not some badboy fan boy at all in the slightest.
nor some long time source fanbou either.
Yet after bow down and dr being whom they were.
plus the source being under the leadership.
they factually were at that point in time.
nas did not adhere to all the culture criteria and gave them an excuse and out.
to lose that distinction in that year from his own admission and missteps culturally.
as an emcee as far as showmanship.
when back then you did not ever need to give them a reason or excuse.
as the same factors nas later succumbed to.
were always around from even back in his own admission.
of wrongly supporting Kurtis blow to fuel his launch of IWW.
to even his whodini friends transistional period ol school way of thought beat jack.
to fully close out the rnb sellout based direction shown on the awful rnb remix lead radio twelve to one luv.

to his even later depths into the sellout well and rabbit hole of jiggydom to many more.
so since you wrongly wanna gloss over shyt globally.
lemme stage what you conviently left out.
that since you not thorough and some fanboy.
instead of culturally keeping it real.
you selectively choose to recount the past how you see fit.
depending upon the rapper in question.
instead of culturally as to whom said performer has marketed and thus also. said whom they were culturally, as well.
