Nah he was at 6 million before the album dropped. Regardless he got a good bump of listeners tho
Album def had impact if his monthly listeners increased.
New young fans have put too much emphasis on illmatic to the point Nas other work gets overlooked.
Its more of a spur of the moment thing, which tracks are trending right now, that's why Rodeo Remix is ahead of If I Ruled The World even if it has way less total plays.
Just like N.Y State Of Mind dropped out of the top five and got replaced by songs from the new album cause people are listening to it right now.
I gotta say that Kings Disease is sitting with me the same way that LIG was when it came out, been playing it will drivin and it just puts me in a good zone but still too soon for me to rate it. But since I seen people rating Nas albums I’ll drop mine
