This album is a great compliment to LIG.

LIG is more personal, backward facing, reflective (his past / divorce / fatherhood / place in the game) and him exploring the type of content is right given his life/career. Done with og producers.

KD is more modern, forward looking, upbeat and confident about his place in rap/life, done with a more modern producer. There’s still a lot of personal wisdom/struggle behind it all that makes it feel like a Nas album.

Still enjoying it and we’ll see how I feel in a year but ironically it’s a perfect summer afternoon album for those of us who were there in the 90s but not stuck in it. :flabbynsick:

What u guys think of this compared to LIG?

LIG was more cohesive to me. This album kinda starts to drag after a few listens. LIG is more varied sonically.

But this album is probably better lyrically from a technical perspective, but LIG was more heartfelt if that makes any sense.

edit: The other thing that LIG has over KD is that I don't remember any songs on LIG where he was obviously punching in. He's doing it a lot on KD.
