Took risks, this ain't what you want, there's rules to this
Don't get it misconstrued, my suit gamе is crisp
Silk, linen, chiffon, Dior to Diadora
But I rock custom more, that hustler aura, tap in
Razor cutter, nineties, eighties lover, raised in gutters
Raised above it, they made it up out the hood subject, I made you love it

Car 85 and The Definition are smooth as fukk so its hard to call them the weakest tracks

The Definition feels like Nas nearly tapped into his flow on Untitled (Louis Farrakhan) but didn't quite reach it. But if u never heard that and didn't have an expectation when the flow started i could see that shyt bein classic to you on first listen. I need a few more listens. Just feels like Nas had 2 different kinds of weed when he wrote that joint. That one's a 4.5/5 for me

I feel like the album loses a bit of momentum in the middle. That shyt with Big Sean is weak. If you're gonna make me have to listen to a Big Sean verse at least give me a good beat and hook to numb the pain. But shyt is just weak. Not crazy about All Black either...it might be a grower but i was disappointed in Paak's contribution. I expected better.

I fukk with pretty much everything else. But opening run and closing tracks are A1.

The beats on The Cure are ridiculous. Love that weird ass first loop...almost sounds like some MF Doom shyt. No problem with the lack of drums and the last beat is just incredible. Nas' lyrics are really dense on that song...i'll need a few listens to catch everything on there.

Love the writing on Blue Benz and Car #85. Honestly my knee jerk reaction is this is the closest he's come to the sound of The Lost Tapes. It's got that mature, reflective feel. A little bittersweet and quite understated. Lush beats. I dunno that's just my instant reaction. Even the production on Car #85, Full Circle almost has that L.E.S. / Death of Escobar sound.

I dunno....we'll see how this holds up but i'm impressed.
