I just rode to this album

Then I listened to Life Is Good

Then for some reason I had an urge to hear Streets Disciple lol.. that album is way better than it gets credit for...

But anyway I can't say this is better than Life Is Good.. It's a smoother more cohesive ride but the highs on LIG are too much... And there's quite a few highs on LIG

After last night, and and listening this joint twice today and REALLY listening to the lyrics - fukk man. This shyt is beautiful. May not be called a classic by the press, but it's a solid 4.5/5 Mics to me. This shyt gives me the same feeling as a Common's Be. Cohesive as fukk and perfect production. Imagine if Kanye actually gave a fukk what Nasir could have been.

I was never that cat to be like Nas has wack beat selection, but it was clear he always wanted you to focus more on the lyrics. Sonically this album shows that Nas on top tier production is AOTY type shyt and timeless music. I can only hope he has the same kind of guidance and executive producers going forward.

From the intro to the end, the only arguable skippable is the joint with Sean. and it's not even that bad, it's just i know sean is a good rapper so that phoned in bullshyt was disappointing to me.

Also I actually liked that some cuts felt a little unfinished. It was so concise it made it feel like a concept album - which it arguably loosely is.
