Maybe I'm bugging and this is a reach, but I swear the three repeating notes of the bassline on 10 Points are a nod to the Illmatic intro (The Genesis). Follow and check it out and tell me if I'm bugging, lol. The part I'm talking is the sample that starts around 30 seconds when AZ starts talking and it repeats every 8 bars. The first couple bars repeat every four but the last couple are different. It's bars 5-8 of this sequence that the 10 Points bassline kind of follows, the three notes that it hangs on for a moment. Bars 7 and 8 of the sequence repeat the same note, like the repeating note on bars 3 and 4 of 10 Points.

If this seems like a reach just listen to that part of The Genesis, hum it to yourself. Then hum that same part while listening to 10 Points and follow the bassline. Maybe I'm just wrong, but it sounds like pretty much the same notes to me.

Plus 10 Points could be an entendre referring the 10 tracks of Illmatic? :jbhmm:

Give it a listen before you say I'm crazy, lol. If you think I'm bugging so be it.

I'm guessing Hip-Hop Charts... cause overall King's Disease is #2 behind "The Killers" album

Everyone gotta support the GOAT and purchase the album (not just stream)

Yall think its arguable that this is his 2nd best album ever?? After my 2nd full listen this shyt is even better than I felt after the first listen, and I thought it was incredible then. If this shyt still gives me that feel after like a week or two I think it may belong in his Top 3, imo. :ohhh:.. Even the songs about females are fire, they're not just formulaic girl records. Only things i dont love about this album is Cormega's verse (He still sounds like a novice rapping, imo) and the Fivio kid's verse (Ferg did his thing tho).

:whoa: nah breh.

Gotta spin it a lot more but maybe can make a case for top 5.

I just gave Nas - King's Disease a first listen. It's scary good.
Here are my notes

Car 85

Hip Hop
back in the day cars
wondering if Car 85 was some new York slang about dope cars?

So in the 90's in NY (and maybe other cities) there were car services called OJ's wherein you could smoke, drink etc. Like a private livery cab where the driver was cool and would charge a little bit more for driving you around while you chilled with a few friends. I got in one twice in the 9th grade with these girls from my HS I met. Fun memories.
