Just copped the cassette. Gonna grab the vinyl soon. Looks fukking amazing. Album is top notch, might be tied with stillmatic off second listen. I put it above life is good. Thank God no swizz on this with his over protruding beats.

Something has really changed about the way Nas interviews this time round... he is extremely confident, full of energy, and willing to talk at length. He can be quite introverted in interviews. Maybe that CEO / VC energy brushing off... def a huge change

Actually around Hip Hop Is Dead he started really kind of opening up and doing great interviews. He’s got some gems in both print and audio from 06.

And @S.W.A.G. Alchemist said he wanted this year to shyt out any argument that he’s not top 5 DOA. Someone asked him if the 3 albums he produced this year solidified it, and he said he’s got at least one much bigger surprise up his sleeve.

He could be referring to the Mt Marci album, but you never know. I asked a mutual friend if he could’ve been referencing someone like Jay or Nas and he said he didn’t think it was out of the question.

So I’m throwing a totally unsubstantiated rumor out there. But all I know is that whatever the other Nas project is I can’t wait. No matter who is producing it.

Not to derail the greatness of this album but hearing full circle really hurts my soul we never got a nas/a.z album. Every time I get over they pop up and sprinkle a little heaven in my ear and I’m right back wishing and wondering :mjcry:
Couldn’t agree more. It’s the one hip hop album I’ve wanted most and never got.

:wow:

they sound lovely together in full circle

Full Circle the most "popular" song on the album on itunes (according to the popularity bars that are next to the song)

Talking about “ nah I don’t stream or buy albums but I need the pm “ or “ it will be finished downloading in 14 hrs on Kazaa “ need to show some supports. It’s always these type that wants Og’s constantly to drop but not there to show support but will show the first to criticize.

Our legends should be doing the same as rock legends who’s in the game for damn near 30 years and still selling and doing tours.

Did Nas just put an end to GOAT discussions with this album?
Maybe.

Jay arguably had the better catalogue up until Jay’s brief retirement.

After Jay’s return though? I don’t see how there’s any debate that Nas has the better catalogue.

Nas has really only dropped one true dud. Jay has a couple at this point.

And regardless of catalogue I don’t think there’s any question that Nas has sounded more inspired for longer.

And the fact that Nas could make the best hip-hop album ever in 1994 and then make a top 4-5 album in his own catalogue almost 30 years later is really fukking crazy and impressive.
