Nas - King’s Disease (Discussion Thread)

I hope this album gets good reviews when they start trickling out over the next couple of weeks
Im curious of the replay value. For some it will cause hes making ride out music production wise on some of this but I also wonder if those who want a narrative about him will hate a little on it on the short verses and things because of perception.

He probably feels these lines more than most as they speak directly to him as an aging athlete still adding to his legacy.

You know there's a middle ground, right? Where if it's someone like a Nas who you respect but you don't like the project you just say nothing...like these same people praising this album did with the Kanye shyt, lol.

I remember the hype for every project since LIG. I don't even get how I'm getting notifications for saying I'm gonna judge it myself

Nas is on point lyrically, but is losing his ferociousness (on purpose? adult delivery?) on his vocals. If he wasn't spitting such knowledge alot of these would border on 'boring' songs. I'ma keep like 4 of these in rotation. Better than NASIR and Lost Tapes 2, but all 3 of these projects have been disappointing for Nas standards, and don't top ANY of his older albums. The God is getting old though, and I'm still surprised he can put out such efforts this late into his career when most would be putting out straight garbage. Legacy not tarnished with this, still in my top 3.

Agreed. Lost Tapes 2 is better than Nasir & Kings Disease to me (at the moment)

Respect your opinion, but you're gonna have to respect mine also. Your taste is trash. The intro 5/10 and Blue Benz and The Cure 6/10? Even if you dont like the beats, that is some prime lyricism.
