Do you really think so? In terms of better highs, consistency, or both?

I've been playing just 4 songs on repeat today, (Car 85 is a gem), but maybe I need to get faded and listen to the whole thing again.

Nonetheless regardless of how I felt the album on first listen, I'm glad he's getting big buzz and praise for this. Genius of an artist to stay relevant through all these years.

Definitely. His 3rd best before this was Stillmatic to me, and I’m definitely feeling this more than that so far. Could change after the test of time, but I doubt it.

That beat switch up on The Cure

tenor.gif

The Cure is a special song. As a man of a certain age who also happens to suffer from King’s disease, that shyt almost brought a tear to my eye. :mjcry:

This man has managed to make music that spoke to me as a teen, through my 20s and 30s and now in my early 40s. He has managed to relate to me at all those different stages of my life.

In my Khaled voice, That shyt special!!

After sitting with the album a bit, this is the 3rd best Nas album (not counting The Lost Tapes) to me.

Still can’t mess with 6-9, but maybe they will grow on me.

I wish I did, because I usually love Anderson .Paak features, and I just knew Nas would make something excellent with him, but it fell flat to me. Don’t like the beat either.

Til The War Is Won is decent, and it’s growing on me a bit, but still not feeling the others at all.

Ft. Stewart, Ga
where did it start for dude to get mad?

Looking at the timeline it looks like Pooh was saying that Kings Disease is what Nasir SHOULD have been. And a few fans were saying that they rocked with Bonjour and Adam & Eve and Pooh said hr listened to the album once and it wasn’t for him. Then of course he went back and forth with a few fans and one of them got disrespectful and voila!
