Man Nas the Goat but moving forward I would like to see Hitboy executive produce his next few projects even if he isn't handling the production.. Hitboy has a great ear and the Goat be trippin.. He was about to leave a certified banger in the vaults LOL Hitboy adding Ferg to that song was a great addition and I feel he had the best verse up there.. Hit also suggested Charlie Wilson on Car 85 and AZ on Full Circle.. Hitboy thank you! And Nas keep dude around as an extra ear.
Bruh if he would have left that song off

. Yes nas definitely need that younger ear in the song selections every album. Nas has left certified classics off previous albums.
Nas stay doin shyt like that. Leaving certified bangers off the table. shyt even for LT2 the best version of Vernon Family is left off the album and only on YouTube. And he played it at the album release party n everything. Lol
I dont blame him for feeling hesitant though. Even though hes better at making commercial/radio joints than people remember, he does get super scrutinized and dont forget everyone was dreading when he was in the studio with Fivio and when the tracklist came out with it on it. It also is a different track from the rest of the album a little. The fact that people ended up liking it as much as they did was the surprise and it got a better reception on the streams than people expected was another.
Even still though you have music snobs/old heads complaining about it, so hes always gonna fight that battle and even if he enjoys making a record thats with and upcoming rapper you never know (Look at the polarizing recetion to when he did stuff with Travis and Future even though it was fine). So hes always gonna be hesitant thinking of the fans.
I agree though that having one producer oversee a Nas project helps but that goes without saying. A lot of times hes had who knows A&R his albums and you got songs that dont make the cut or the sequencing is all over and its a testament to Nas as an artist that the albums are still alright. But when he has someone sort it for him, hes get a better reaction to his albums. Thats why I wanted No ID to oversee all his albums going forward after he did Life is Good. So whoever it is (And I still No ID is a better choice with his history of handling albums, though Hit Boy is now emerging as a good choice too for artists) he just needs a producer to executive produce
