Where did you hear about this?

I can't find the interview, but during that era, God's Son was supposed to be Nas's Makaveli where he was airing everybody out. He changed the direction of the album, but not before tracklists of the original were listed on Amazon and floating around the Internet. Most of the titles were confirmed by Nas:

Grimey Ways

Crabs In A Barrel

F Hot (middle finger to Hot 97)

My Will (one verse of this leaked in 2005 as "Honeymoon Is Over)

Ridin Broke (this leaked in full, but there were no disses on this song)

Probably would take too much red tape to release it and get the samples cleared and all that. More than likely not worth it. Especially since he owns Mass Appeal and those masters and can pretty much do whatever he wants with that material

+he probably wouldn't have full creative control, something he seems to be relishing at the moment.

We/Nas might think "Songs with Rza and Havoc :blessed:" and some corny ass Sony dude might go "Songs recorded during friendship with Murder Inc :jbhmm:".

Yea I BEEN telling brehs them Sony vaults are staying SHUT unless Nas can work out some type of astronomical deal but like I said it’s probably not even worth negotiating at this point. He can always do a Lost Tapes album whenever he has enough material from Mass Appeal sessions (sessions he actually OWNS) that old stuff really has no value to him

Think about it though, we have albums worth of Sony material that leaked though. There are a lot of I Am through Stillmatic era songs that we have. There's even B sides and remixes from It Was Written that we have also and alternate versions of songs. Not saying we have everything from that era, but a lot of those songs leaked.

What we don't have is some of the material from the Nasdaq Dow Jones album that may have became Hip Hop Is Dead once the merger with Def Jam occurred.
