he'd be dumb (and delirious) if he was on the tip Ziggly claimed he's on....

i don't think so tho, dude knows he's caught Ls and is just :smugfavre: ing it up right now.

If u do the knowledge Marvin Gaye's here my dear (the title and album) was some sarcastic shyt also.

If u listen to the opening track he goes "This is what u wanted...here my dear, here is is.."...she was supposed to make alot money off that album but Marvin decided to drop an album with zero commercial appeal (yet still critically acclaimed, Its one of my favs) so she wouldn't eat well off the album.

Nas is on that same Sarcasm tip.....why is it not easy to see?

From the photo alone the album should probably say "Life is fukked up"........

Sarcasm instead was/is the better choice and a more artistic one IMO, its better than simply being blunt and straightforward

I'm not claiming anything. Read the Complex interview, it's crystal clear

^mad about what? the album that marvin admitted that he just threw out there because he knew where all the money was going? imagine your kids coming to you saying that their favorite rapper is about to re-create jay-z's "kingdom come"?

it wasnt a commercial success but that was a good thing...since the proceeds went to his wife,,he made it "uncommercial" on purpose..like "here my dear, fukk you..u aint getting shyt" the initial reaction was mixed but in retrospect many magazines including Rolling Stone list it as one of the greatest albums of all time.

:manny: It's still probably my favorite Marvin album.

Here My Dear (following I Want You) is my favorite Marvin album too.

I didn't know Nas performed at Summer Jam. And, brought out the Queen Lauryn!

Yo, what if Lauryn's one of the guest rapper on Life Is Good :gladbron:

lol...

Man Nas is not throwing out the album for the same reasons (giving her royalties). AND HE CARES about this album. Nas has said his life sorta resembles Marvins in some aspect. He liked the theme of Here, My Dear and says Life is Good will be sort of similar in the emotion of it.. Thats it, Thats all..

why everybody so detailed in their critiquing when it comes to Nas?? I saw a clown comment on the album cover and say "Why did he get a little green prom dress instead of Kelis' ACTUAL wedding dress"??

Im reading that like my gawd, what difference does it make??.. You cant get the point cuz its not the actual dress?? lol
