Queens story is fire. You're buggin out.

The Hamilton track is the glaring blemish. The singing, the drum less music....it's nauseating. Everything else is listenable to good to great.

I REALLY wish there was drums on that shyt yo...it was still good to me tho..Swizzy needs to stay away from hooks...that summer on smash shyt woulda been even better with just Nas and Miguel...

album is not a classic nikkas really acting like nas's flow was lacking. he had no synergy with the beats he just sounded out of place most of the time. lyrics were good but when the man is seperated from the music it doesnt mean much

I don't think the album is great cause it just dropped...like nikkas tryna shyt on Big Mel for liking this album...and that nikka is one of the most CRITICAL Nas fan's I've ever come across...and he likes it...the album is a legit genuine good album to me...there was nothing wrong with it..this shyt aint got nothin to do with the classic he dropped years ago...u asked me what seems more like 100 percent Nas cause u commented about him not being himself...and I named a track on this album..cause this is PERSONALLY where he's at in his life right now...how the fukk is Take It In Blood(one of the greatest Nas songs of all time by the way) more him being HIMSELF than a song about him meeting his wife and their divorce?..really?...

ok good response, i feel u on all that. if u like it more power to u. enjoy. but im gonna put my opinion out there too.

as for the thing about picking one song that describes what u perceive as the real nas, yeah i picked the older ones as did the other dude who responded.

TODAY, youre right, its probably the one u mentioned. but which of those (take it in blood/u gotta love it versus bye baby :pachaha:) is more nas to you? the nas we grew up on hearing? which song sounds better? which sounds more like pure straight forward ny rap? the answer is apparent.

so yeah, maybe bye baby "really is nas" in 2012. well, thats probably the reason im not really feelin this album. nas got older and changed is how i guess we can put it. unfortunately his music also changed. for the worse. :manny:

[ame=http://youtu.be/Ydsu_edl1X8]Nas - A Queens Story - YouTube[/ame]

i say hell muthafukin no!! and primo is my idol... but lets face it, primo does half ass generic ass repetitive shyt like this in 2012, even with a complete orchestra

he aint "musical" enough to craft something as incredible as what Salaam did on Queens Story

people been shyttin on Salaam for so long, even after countless classic songs for 20 years straight!

i knew this queens story beat would go over some people's heads, the ABC rap fans, but im real happy with the love its getting mostly everywhere! this shyt is the most artistically dope beat ive heard in years!!

couldnt say it any better. one of my biggest peeves of nas music this decade. when the raps and the beats meld together and the rapper sounds like hes a part of the beat, is when shyt really gets good.

this overdubbed vocals over drab, stale break beats with random strings lacking any rhythm shyt.:ld:

I live in the United States
Gramps is upset :old:

If this is what the slaves died for it was truly a waste.

And you have the gall to talk about real hip-hop yet respect Amy Winehouse in the same sentence, you should have your rap license revoked, along with your actual license for smoking while driving.

Album is shyt, deal with it. Nas was cool for like a 3 year period in the 90s, now he exists for people who like to talk about real hip-hop as if that shyt matters anymore.
Gramps? So I guess a dumbass teenager could tell you what REAL hip-hop is
Nas was cool for 3yrs? Thanks for replaying kid...
I take it as you have terrible taste in music.

The Production is on point, Nas just doesn't flow well over most of these beats.

Production wise it's his best album since God's Son.

Lyrically abnd conent wise. Probably his best ever.

Flow ise easily his worst ever.

And for me who respects flow the most, it makes the album pretty unlistenable.
Well, Hip-Hop review from Peru. I don't agree, most don't. But your entitled to your wack ass opinion :hula:
:youngsabo:

exactly. take it in blood was what i was gonna say.

this one too. nothin on life is good is touchin this shyt.

this is my man nas.

Nas- "U Gotta Love It" - YouTube
I fukks with those songs/album. This album tho? You trippin saying you don't like it.
Just give it a few more spins...
I love the balance the album has. Street shyt, and commercial tracks while staying true to his self. Theres a couple tracks he should have left off the album though.

Throwaway tracks:
1. A Queens Story - Terrible production. Salaam Reemi misses completely, and is much better at R&B rap production. Its a shame because NaS is really spitting, but the beat is too unfocused.

2. Worlds an Addicition.
Get the fukk outta here :troll:
