Gwen is a real nikka

The name is the song is nikkas in Paris

white, asian, black, green people are all allowed to call a song by its song title.

u don't like it? dont call it nikkas in Paris, simple as put, anyone who's mad at Gwen needs to focus on more important shyt like black on black violence, didn't lil phat just get killed yesterday? why yal ain't protesting?

:dwillhuh:

:rudy:

:beli:

What are you talking about?

fixed, had to emphasize the lames.

Only time these nikkas give 2 fukks about the black community is when some white celebrity is involved or if it's a world wide story like Trayvon Martin..

Nice generalization here. I see a lot of people in this thread that have also posted on "black community" issues that aren't world wide stories.

It's not even a joke, them nikkas named their song "nikkas in Paris" then they took all their white people friends to Paris to watch them perform "nikkas in Paris" Gweneth Paltrow looked out into the crowd, looked at them nikkas on stage and tweeted what she saw, Some real nikkas in Paris. For me the simple fact that I would have tweeted the same exact thing makes this acceptable.

If I wasn't black and in that same situation, I just wouldn't haven't tweeted it because I'm not dumb. I know some people still have issues with the word, so why even take that chance.

I've had females tell me it's cool if I call them "bytch". I still don't say it (and yes there are popular songs with "bytch" in the title). Now that word doesn't even come close to having the same weight as "nikka". Yet out of respect, I STILL don't even say it.

Unless of course, I'm fukking em :lolbron:

I guess Im the only one thats only surprised by the fact that Gwyneth is the only one to point out that nikkas in paris where performing nikkas in paris...

White, black, green, cats, canadians, cyborgs... Seems like its the obvious observation to make regardless... That tweet writes itself.

It was also entertaining to watch two people argue in this thread about whether it was racist or not and quickly accuse of each other of being white as though thats something to be ashamed of. Thats not racist at all lol.

Also interesting to notice that every other thread has the N word thrown around like its nothing but then all of a sudden in this thread its gone lol.

Ahhh the internets.

I'm listening to Distant Relatives right now, and I'm still flabbergasted that Nas said Gwenyth Paltrow was a real nikka. So, to his assessment Paltron is equivalent to Jungle. :rudy:

How could someone spit the most profound lyrics, but sound assinine when they talk.

Standing up for the poor and impoverished doesnt mean you can't be friends with those of another race. You nikkas is so caught up on black vs. White that you can't see the world for what it really is. Distant relatives was not about lifting up black people over white it was about lifting up everybody and making everyone equal. That's why they named the album DISTANT RELATIVES to show that even though we are different and in different parts of the world we can all stand together.

When nas dropped the nikka album he said "y'all all my nikkas" again showing unity instead of this close minded fukkary you dudes is spewing on this board.

With all of the problems facing minorities and the poor, the word nikka is a distraction. It's something to get caught up arguing about when at the end of the day it really means nothing. Getting upset when people use the word is not going to solve any problems. Racists will be racist no matter if they call you a nikka or not. Minorities are still fukked up and poor no matter if they are called nikkas or not.

Put it this way some rich white ladies like Gweneth Paltrow genuinely care about poor black people and they use their money and influence to help them. Allot of nikkas run around hating on each other, hurting each other and generally not giving a fukk about the black community. So if she is the one caring and trying to make it better in "the hood" and the nikkas is the one tearing it down, why is someone like nas not able to befriend her and defend her knowing her heart and her true intensions. That is why he said she is his nikka because although she is not in "the struggle" she identifies with it and cares about the people, most of you nikkas don't care about y'all own families and communities, but y'all can get on the Internet hollering cac this and white lady that, when she gives more of a fukk about you than you do yourself.

:snoop:......... Stupid nikkas

Yeah difference is if one of those girls told you her name was bytch Johnson you put a picture up on twitter and say "I met a new girl named bytch johnson" then her mom call you all mad talmbout why would you put my daughters name on twitter.

Not only did they name the song "nikkaS IN PARIS" the cd is marketed to and more popular in the white and European community. All you nikkas that's outraged she said it should be outraged that they named their song that then gave it to the white folks.

Their name isn't "nikka" so I don't see the point. But here's an example that fits EXACTLY into the context of this incident.

My ex (who is a singer) has a song with "bytch" in the title. Now in no way is this song popular, BUT out of respect I wouldn't say "bytch blah blah blah, for real".

I just don't get why it's so hard to understand that words offend people. So save yourself the drama and just STFU sometimes.

What she said doesn't bother me (just so you know). What bothers me is how people just don't think before they speak. What also bothers me is how the "Paltrow Caped Crusaders" want to tell people what they should be offended by. What bothers me is how bad non blacks want to say that word.

I don't get mad at the drug dealer. I get mad at the fiends. Cause at the end of the day, no one is forcing you to do anything :yeshrug:

we should be (and i am) against the way you are using the word nikka in this very post

its disgusting that a black person would call another black person stupid nikka

nikka is a negative term no matter how much people try to say its nothing or its positive, there is no so called "bigger problems" out there than black culture, culture is the root of the problem

If your friend was to perform her song called "bytches in Paris" and you were in the crowd you wouldn't be wrong for taking a picture and captioning it "bytches in Paris for real" that is not a pass for you to call her a bytch everytime you see her, or to call other women bytches, but in the context of the song and her performance she would be totally ok with you calling her that.

And as far as the drugdealers go. That type of thinking is whats wrong wit you nikkas. "naw I can't blame the drug dealer for selling poison, cause the people are going to buy it anyway" FOH wit that shyt. Entire communities have been ruined over drugs and you can't just blame the users. Drugs kill people, and you can't go around killing people just cause they ask for it. You have to be a horrible person to knowingly sell poison to someone's mother, grandmother, child etc.

There is no comparison to the nikkas in paris situation, fact is rappers make it cool to say nikka, purposely sell it to white folks, make money off of it. And we get outraged when someone says it.

I agree with you that nikka is negative word. I wasn't trying to be nice. Not all stupid nikkas are black and definatly not all black people are stupid nikkas. But there is a definition for stupid nikkas and some people fit the bill.:yeshrug:

Nice assumption...You don't know my ex nor know how she would respond. You keep on talking about context when I'm saying that people still get offended and don't care about context. So in other words, watch what you say. It's simple.

And as far as the drugdealers go. That type of thinking is whats wrong wit you nikkas. "naw I can't blame the drug dealer for selling poison, cause the people are going to buy it anyway"

And YOUR problem is you assume too much. Not once did I say "naw I can't blame the drug dealer for selling poison, cause the people are going to buy it anyway".

I didn't say anything remotely close to that. That's not even what I meant. YOU jumped to that conclusion just like you jumped to a conclusion about my ex without even knowing her.

I can see how this convo is gonna go so I just stopped reading at that second assumption.

Good day sir :mjpls:

but it wasnt my point whether it was accurate or not, my point is just the fact that you think its ok to call somebody a stupid nikka is the problem with black culture, its negative in and of itself regardless of accuracy or context
