Even the start of this shyt was ill...

[Verse 1: Nas]
If nikkas could look inside my mind, you'll find Where bodies are buried
...first look past the hotties who dimes
Go to the center, enter with caution, past the brain cell graveyard
Where weed's responsible for memory loss

Who thinks of shyt like this :mindblown:

I don't know how someone can listen to No Idea's Orgininal and say "Kendrick's got this :youngsabo:"

It's the difference between a jedi knight and jedi master :wow:

Dope. Nas is a dope lyricist, can step it up when he wants to and make dope songs too.

I put Lost Tapes as my personal GOAT album in the recent thread. I really like TPAB and how well it is produced and constructed on all levels. However, the lyricism on Lost Tapes is what makes it so strong even as a compilation of unreleased tracks. I'm a stan of both artists right now so I don't know where I stand but glad to see this thread.

Agree on all counts.. Got Lost Tapes in my top 10 though

Lol at nikkas talking bout tpab is better ("musically"), as if the raps should be judged separate, no, an album should be judged as a whole, and regardless if u think the "music" is better than lost tapes it's not enough to cover the disparity between the rapping on these albums

I've noticed the eminem stanning cac OP has been riding hard against kendrick and tpab.

Wonder why:mjpls:

Obviously the lyrics of tpab rubbed his cac heart the wrong way.

Stick to stanning eminems trash ass music.

for some reason it took me awhile to realize how great Lost Tapes was. At first I liked a couple standout tracks and then over time the lyrics just made a lot of sense. TPAB is more connected as a project but Nas is so sharp and profound with his lyrics, I can easily see why people would rate it much higher. I can also see the other side from K Dot fans. Anyway,
No Ideas Original I didn't like it all for a couple years because of the sound but something finally clicked and it became one of my favorites. The way he captured the moment and scenes with his lyrics:ohlawd:.
