Ran thru it real quick driving to work this morning. Like I said a week ago, Hit’s sound under Nas’s wizardry/magic can never be bad or nothing like that…but it can get redundant after 5 whole ass albums straight, that’s why I was hoping for different production…wasn’t to slight Hitboy, it’s just time for something new.

I don’t know what some of y’all are listening to tho, lol, yall going way too far, 😂. This shyt is dope…as lighthearted and cruise controlish as a lot of it sounds, Nas is rapping rapping rapping on here…it’s just the “sound” man…it’s run it’s course…at least for now. Let Hit sit on the bench for a little bit and get some fresh legs in there for an album or two. And not for nothing but I hate when Nas does the “today” rappers flow, lol, it’s why I don’t love “Rare” like I know a lot of y’all do. Etc… He was doing that a little too much on here.

I’d give it a nice B- just off Nas’s pen and Hit’s solid music. Only real major complaint is it’s too “safe” sounding, like some victory lap, encore shyt lol, like they are MADD comfortable…that’s what I’m trying to say, it sounds like Nas and Hit are wild comfortable, like no serious hunger/passion/creativity. Sometimes being too comfy isn’t good and can make you lackadaisical and complacent. But again, yall trippin, lol…shyt still jammin and it’s probably the most “vibey” one they dropped. Yeah, I’m cool with a B-…if you say C+ I won’t eat your lunch over that.

Motion my favorite shyt def so far. The shyt with 50 is hard, I like 50’s shyt talking lol. What this all really means is fire. Etc… I’m a run it back a few times tonight, see what I’m feeling.

Gotta run this back to back with KD2 and KD3 to determine my rankings.

Its already above KD1 and Magic 1 for me

i had to give magic 1 a quick listen after playing this one a few times, cause i kinda liked this more and didnt wanna jump the gun.

the beats on 1 definitely feel bigger, more impressive. but i'm fukking with the more straightforward production on 2. even when hit starts dabbling in different regions it feels cohesive imo.

no idea where it stands compared to the other four albums tho.

This is dope.

Nas rhymes so crispy :ohlawd:

I can see why certain fans may be unsatisfied, but i’m down for new shyt.

Woulda never expected Nas to Rap over these kinds of beats.

Hit keeps extracting new flows outa Nas, and he sounds as crispy and comfortable as he did on illmatic.

Goat shyt, nothing else to be said.

I was expecting that line to spark a Stan war by now, but everybody too busy trashing HB. Im gonna wait a few pages and drop that bar again and then see if I can make people furious :scheme:

I recall them Digital Underground nikkas name dropping Hennessy back in the day so I doubt it's true. Most likely it was just a random throwaway line by Nas.

Not great but it’s got some tracks I’ll go back to. Some of you acting like an album you didn’t know existed two weeks ago not being perfect ruined your day. I’m just happy to get some new music.

And I guess alchemist is the new premo. it’s not even thoughtful bc Nas working with No ID again >>>>

Halfway through this is flames, I'm actually happy I read Y'all shyts first because I was expecting way worse from 50 - I fukked with it.

@Ziggiy how many times we gotta tell them to trust Hit.

Wheher yall like these albums or not, NONE of them sound alike.
Love this album because hit boy and nas was sounding repetitive. Especially magic and kd3. Those albums sound the same

Never understood the love affair with Magic 1…shyt was boring to me. This is a decent album. Something to listen to for the weekend but nothing mind blowing. I love Nas going to see him in September at Barclays but seriously at this point we don’t need anymore Hit projects
