What do you guys think is the significance of the book emoji? He used it twice so it must mean something.

The book obviously doesn't mean 2. Book of Magic maybe? Spellbook?

Something to do with writing definitely.

Also he originally posted a fire emoji and two paper clips. I was thinking that meant two projects.

The full conversation paints a better picture. Judging by the clarifications I assume he's hinting at Nas collabing with someone new. If I had to guess I'd say Metro, but all signs point to Hitboy taking point on this album as well so idk. Must be another rapper, but if it's a whole album and the reddit guy just decided to highlight the link up, it's gotta be more than a feature right?

It probably depends on what device you're using, but when I look at the Reddit post on my phone the book emoji has VOL 2 written on the cover.

For all we know maybe Magic 2 isn't produced by Hit-Boy since it's not part of the King's Disease series.
And if it's a short album like the first one it probably allowed Nas to work with another beatmaker and record it pretty quickly.

Thread is hilarious. Half the posts trying to defend an album that hasn't even been officially announced yet. The other half trying to discredit some of the most universally acclaimed albums of this decade.

That's what I want also at some point. Not totally part ways with Hit, but just let in some other guys in but let Hit coordinate the whole thing as he has mastered what Nas is confortable with and sounds good on.

I didn't think Magic would get a sequel. It always seemed like a one-off thing born from Nas and Hit-Boy working at a ridiculous pace. But if you told me back in 2020 that King's Disease would get two sequels (and a potential third one), I wouldn't have believed that, either.

Magic had a very specific sound, almost like a more mature version of Illmatic. If Nas and Hit-Boy were able to capture that sound again and have enough confidence to make a sequel, I'm definitely in.

See, I knew I didn't listen to KD3 this week for nothing. It was a sign the whole time.
