Nas‘ Mass Appeal imprint has come under fire after a high-ranking former employee accused the company of racial discrimination in a new lawsuit.

According to Hollywood Reporter, former head of development Melissa Cooper filed suit against the multimedia company in a Manhattan court on Tuesday (October 17). Cooper, a white woman, alleges she was the victim of “venomous and racist comments about ‘white folk’ and ‘crackers,’” and was eventually fired.

Melissa Cooper, a veteran documentary producer who was head of development at Mass Appeal and is white, alleges that company executives — including Peter Bittenbender, the company’s chief executive who is also white,

White CEO and co-owner, I call duck tales. The fact that the broad was even part of the mgmt team is more alarming :mjpls:

Probably just one of the low level coli brehs talking coli shyt, the cracker management team over there don’t seem very pro-black. :mjpls:

You can’t detest racist remarks one way then be a proponent of it the other way…because if that’s the case then you’re not really against racism, you’re just against racially insensitive white people, lol. Racism and racist talk, in general, is obviously fine with you.

I’m no better than anybody, I throw all them words around about white people too…but I know it’s stupid and I really hate stupidity so I been trying to clean it up. You can’t haphazardly do something but then attack others for doing the same thing bro, that’s just common sense, either you detest it or you support it, as a whole.

I get the logic behind why we feel like it’s okay to talk crazy racist ish about white people tho…it’s like fat girls can shyt on skinny girls all day but skinny girls can’t talk bad about fat girls because that’s just mean…we’re the victims in this country/the world no question, since time immemorial…but in the interest of common sense and fairness, cut that shyt out, treat people like you wanna be treated…especially in the work place.

Interesting, I thought it would be the other way. Wasn't there a story about how MA barely has any Black employees and someone was claiming discrimination? Was like 2-3 years ago.
