Sorry if this has already been discussed but is this going to fulfill his obligation with Def Jam? They've been refusing to accept a Lost Tapes type album as his final one right? If this one counts I guess it's off the strength of the notoriety that comes with it being completely produced by Kanye despite being only 7 tracks.

If so then does this mean the floodgates are opened for new/unreleased Nas music?

Lol, even if it does and he decides to put out his next project on Mass Appeal, it would most likely still be released by Def Jam/UMG since that's MA's distributor

Yea, you're right, I was mistaking Dave East's signing for the entire label switching distrubution. Ironically, UMG is a parent company to Mass Appeal (the main MA) as of last year.
