They already said the the FO track will see the light of day. Face it , we aren't getting another Lost Tapes, so its got to be on this album, Timbaland said that, "right now" Nas had the complete track. He said that Jay Z asked for it.

Jay himself has said the track wasn't done after Timbo put out htat bullshyt in the interview. It's not happening, Timbo always gets ahead of himself like this.

Anybody who follows Nas will know it is not yet the time to be expecting ANYTHING new after he put an album out just one year ago. We're gonna just have to wait until next year, Nas always takes two years in between albums, plus 2014 marks Illmatic's 20 year anniversary. So I'm sure there are big things in store.

Never on schedule but ALWAYS on time

I feel you, and you're probably right, but how much time was there between:
- Stillmatic - God's Son
- Distant Relatives - Life Is Good

We have a chance an album is gonna drop this year, and another one next year.... A man can hope...

What do you prefer quality or quantity?

At this point in his career I personally don't believe it would be a good idea to release albums in consecutive years he has never really been one for doing this anyway. Taking a gap between albums allows for artistic growth.

Eminem and Nas should drop the same day. The Earth would shake

Distant Relatives was a group effort between Nas and Damien Marley whereas Life ais Good was Nas frost proper solo album in 4 years...

Stillmatic- Gods Son and I Am- Nastradamus is the only time period where he's released solo albums within one year of each other. For Nas to drop THREE albums within two years ain't gonna happen bruh. I'd rather Nas take his time anyway and drop the best possible album he can, especially following LIG which was so excellent. If he drops ANYTHING this year it would be Lost Tapes 2....

He needs to stick with No ID as his main producer with a few tracks from Salaam Remi. And if he's gonna go the commercial route with a single like he wanted to do with the Miguel feature and the Swizz beat then he should get a Just Blaze beat or maybe another Justice League track.

Brooklyn son
nas drops every two years. We just got LIG last year so don't except anything new until late NEXT year. We might get a few street singles to start the ball rolling. Probably an official single in aug-sept album in the fall. Nas does that same routine most of his career.

I don't get the Remi hate either. He gave us "serious" with az "thief theme" and few other bangers. After he left Remi he picked a beat producer by Chris Webber. Chris call a time out with no time outs Webber. Jesus. Let the man pick who he wants. He rarely disappoints lyrically and concept wise. Nas will prevail it ain't hard to tell

He isn't going to rush it out. He wants a positive reaction and knows he really isn't selling huge amounts of records. Nas doesn't like to make albums that sound the same, but I imagine he'll isolate himself to one or two producers like he did with Life Is Good, since that really helped with him developing the appropriate sound for his last album.

The frank ocean track is a left-over from LIG, so I wouldn't expect it to make the cut. If he works with FO, it'll most likely be on a newer track. The Jay-z track was just an idea that Timbo discussed with Nas and Jay, and doesn't even exist yet. I don't think it'll happen; it's just Timbo getting ahead of himself.

Edit: Dudes need to stop with the Remi hate. When Nas ditched him for HHID/Untitled, the production quality went down the drain. Bringing him back to work alongside No I.D. was the best choice to get that unique orchestral-classical and throw-back sound he nailed on LIG.

"A Queens Story" :ohlawd:
HHID was better produced than any Nas album since :childplease:.
