It’s so foolish to care about sales for a artist like nas. Especially on his on Indy label. He had no shot selling 100k. He’s been rapping for 30 years man :russ::lolbron: he’s a goat and dropped a dope album. who cares about the rest

Yeah...I dont get being this invested in this as a fan. shyt is weird. :mjlol:I say this as a HUGE Nas fan who listened to this album fully like 6 times now. I dont work for mass apeal and I'm not Nas so it dont put money in my pocket. Those are artist concerns (how it's received, sales, etc.)...I'm a consumer of the art (my only concern is do I love the art, if I do I support). I hope the brotha sell a billion copies (but come on, he's been at it for 30 years and it's 2020), but I really dont care. If I had never seen this thread, i would have never thought about Nas' number.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to see ur fav artist etc etc, succeed. Sales def ain’t the only thing that matter at all but him going number 1 with this album would've been a milestone for his career. That’s a big deal for someone who has never based his career around sales and always marched to the beat of his own drum. shyt would be a great accomplishment. It’s more about the number 1 than it is the sales.

So. We just gonna not count 2 full collab albums in a row? Ok. But I bet u nikkas wouldn’t have no problem counting that project he did with Ye tho right?

I personally wouldn’t count A Written Testimony a Jay-Z album in the same vein I wouldn’t call The Purple Tape a Ghostface album.

There’s no way on earth Hov is putting out any album with HIS name on it without promo/marketing/videos to get it the maximum push.

But this shouldn’t be about no damn Nas Vs Jay-Z anyway. fukk that. We want Nas to do well because we’re NAS FANS through in through and we want him to get that number 1. Jay gone do what he gone do and Nas gone do what he gone do

Nas is not a young artist so he isn't going to stream ridiculous but the interesting part about the pure sales is HHD is projecting him to only do 18K when hes been number 1 on Itunes and Amazon for the last 5 and 4 days respectively. Which would mean it only takes about 2000 album sales to reach the number one spot on these platforms:sadcam:or something definitely off. Taylor Swift and The Killers are projected to do like 50K and 30K in pure sales which would mean they will have to be getting sales from their own websites or something like that and not Itunes or Amazon since Nas is #1 The only thing that's great is I don't follow sales anymore because this is hilarious. nikkas making up numbers lmao:usure:

Nas stans would be killing Hov if he had these numbers

Hov stans are much classier people in general

hov stans (you could somewhat consider me one) in general arent as invested as vice versa (outside of @Cladyclad , idk whats wrong with dude.. no offense). meanwhile them dudes are name dropping jay left and right in that album thread :dead:

it's 2020, i thought nas would be projected for better numbers too but who really cares at the end of the day... the album is probably the album of the year regardless. the spinning for the low projected numbers and pushing/praying for a number 1 spot is lowkey :scust: though, its not that serious.

Thats why its best not to look too much into projections until Thursday or Friday because of all the weird factors that goes into what constitutes a “sale” nowadays. Nas has the album available on his own online store in both physical and digital, as you said he’s been number 1 on iTunes, Amazon, and Google since Saturday. He’s number 2 on Apple Music.

Also Nas has a history of outperforming initial sales projections. Life Is Good was projected to move 50K units and ended up at 100k more.
