People are caught up on sales during a time when actual sales are down 87% for most artists who were able to go gold first week with real units 20-22 years ago. Nas was able to do that in '99, with I Am. Doing something like 475,000 copies first week was normal back then because we were all running to the store the day something dropped, to buy that album. People aren't buying physical media anymore, they're streaming now. So what Nas sells today or doesn't, doesn't really matter. His true fans are the ones who just want an album from him because we're just good with getting some new shyt from someone we've been listening to for damn near 30 years. I don’t care about how many people buy it. I'm more concerned with just having it myself and getting more music from him later.
