The George Zimmerman verdict is challenging assumptions about race in America. It started a new national discussion, that we are continuing in our town hall tonight. We are taking an up close look at the hidden bias that often goes unspoken in our society, and surfaces in unexpected ways. It's something President Obama addressed in his remarks following the Zimmerman verdict. It's an issue I discussed with Grammy nominated hip-hop artist Nas; BET's Michaela Angela Davis; David Webb, co-founder of Tea Party 365; New York Times Op-Ed Columnist Charles Blow; and Andre Perry, founding Dean of Urban Education at Davenport University.

I have confidence in the GOAT, he will be on point for this panel

I have a feeling he is gonna say something idiotic/controversial and force himself as a reactionary artist to address it on his next solo....

@Diondon @Momentum I have no idea why the dude does it....

the irony is that Rihanna is probably a wayyyy bigger pothead than him but still speaks in complete sentences compared to him and can be professional

i don't wanna keep harping on being a pessimist but i cannot expect any great interview by nas...

can you guys picture everyone else on the panel being emotional and hyped and nas is being nonchalant :dead:

lets hope for this interview:

Yeah, him, Mos, Lupe are in constant competition for the annual "Just Rhyme Homey" award.

:dead:

Breh did you see this interview when it happened? He was doing EXACTLY what you said......Dante Terrel Smith was fine while Akon was speaking fast and on point and expressing himself well....

Then Mos was the odd one out and speak in pauses like this

Don't Miss It: Ozwald Boateng joins Akon, Mos Def and Yasiin Bey to talk Africa’s cultural success on BBC World - AmeyawDebrah.Com | AmeyawDebrah.Com

Nas will do fine. lol at cats acting as if commentators (black or white) on this issue have set a high standard on TV. I've heard an abundance of social and political commentators spew nothing but nonsense... before, during and after the trial.
