Interesting perspective. Another facet to this is that white hip hop fans tend to "grow out" of hip hop. As a white hip hop head for the past twenty years, I can tell you there is tremendous societal pressure on white hip hop fans to stop listening. Basically, white people feel free to say the most racist shyt about hip hop, things they would never say to African-Americans, to white hip hop fans. If white hip hop fans remained interested into their 40s and 50s, maybe KRS would be able to tour like the Rolling Stones.
