Congratulations to Nas for the nomination. This could be the year he gets it. :ohhh: And congratulations to the person who put together the nominations because it's obvious the other rap categories were put together by the usual suspects. :mjlol:

Eminem doesn't fukk with the Grammys anymore. He dissed them on Kamikaze ("Then give Album of the Year to somebody that no one's ever even heard of"), told them to not nominate him or invite him ever again, and shytted on their entire voting process calling it "fake as fukk." If he kept quiet, Music to Be Murdered By would have been nominated this year and Kamikaze would have been nominated in 2019. :manny:

Kanye West literally PISSED on a Grammy and streamed it to millions of people and still got a nomination

Eminem isn’t America’s Great White Hope anymore (and hopefully there will never be one again) and Hip Hop has fortunately largely moved on from him. I’d like to se him fade into obscurity

Nominations from my grading system would be different.

These aren't bad projects though.

Freddie Gibbs: Alfredo 78.75%
Royce Da 5'9'': The Allegory 78.13%
D Smoke: Black Habits 75.00%
Jay Electronica: A Written Testimony 75.00%
Nas: King's Disease 74.04%

The closer the project is to 80% the doper the project is.

I'd personally choose The Allegory from those nominations, but I wouldn't debate Alfredo at all.

It's like this hip hop is an art and The Underground, Subterranean treated it like that and drop Full Thoughtful, Lyrical, Concept Album and I include K.Dot and Cole because they are hip hop heads

But these new cats are not doing that and now they are not getting rewarded for their single driven mixtape ass albums

What was Kanye's nomination? I couldn't find it.

And Eminem was an easy nomination for years. Before Revival, literally all of his albums got nominated. Even after he said what he said, they still nominated him for Best Rap Song in 2019. I definitely believe his comments had something to do with it because why nominate "Lucky You" and not the album it came from? Eminem's people got in the Academy's ear and let them know to leave him alone, and they listened.
