I don't think they're basing who they select for this category on the age of the person, lol, they're basing it on what are the best bodies of work. Why are you mad that a bunch of autotuned, rambling youngins rapping about a bunch of nothing aren't nominated? Why would they be?

Guarantee he didn't hear more than 2 of the albums on this list, but he's commenting like this because he sees what the kids are saying. Don't be that old head, smh, following the lead of kids on what's fire or not. That's why hip hop is stuck in Neverland.

Lil Baby album had more content and was more versatile than Gibbs shyt :mjlol:

The Bigger Picture was the conscious song of 2020 and his album had something for everyone :mjlol:

And he raps his ass off and with melody :flabbynsick:

People are really heated over legends and veterans getting nominated over younger artists this year. :russ:

Acting like this is some great tragedy and the albums they chose were all trash from nobodies. :mjlol:
Gibbs and Royce 5’9 are legends?

D Smoke and Jay Electronica are legends?

:laff:

Veterans of what nikka they’re niche artists

Jay Electronica the nikka that disappeared for 10 years

Gibbs the nikka that makes the same shyt over and over again

Get real y’all like these nikkas because they remind y’all of the 90’s it’s 20 fukking 20

No I don't, if they put out dope album's they would of got their flowers also

Matter of Fact Slick Rick dropped The Art of Storytelling in 99, Album went Gold and was one of the year's best

So again what are you trying to say
U know what I actually take my example back

Slick Rick is actually a legend unlike nikkas like Royce 5’9 and Gibbs :mjlol:

The awards should go to the people who are culturally relevant and impactful in our society not niche backpack artists internet nerds and retired street nikkas listen to

I'd say folks are more upset how off these nominations are. I barely pay attention to the nominations but if you look over the past five years or so, the Grammys did a decent job of picking artists who were culturally relevant AND put out good bodies of work.
2020: 21 Savage, Dreamville, Meek, Cordae, and Tyler.
2019: Nipsey, Mac Miller, Travis Scott, and Pusha.

Those nominations made sense. This year's...not so much outside of Nas and maybe Freddie.
