How you figure
Nas hired him. (early 20's with no experience)
N they're playing with Nas money which means Nas has the final say. N he's also in those meetings

That's like saying Lebron owes maverick carter.

You're supposed to surround yourself with smart people
Exactly! Anthony would even tell you that Nas believed in him and trusted him with his person life and career. Steve Stoute couldn’t even do that. Trust in your business partner is key. There is nothing that is done without both Nas & Anthony at the table.

As I said, that is a big range. So they're guessing. And who all is in Nas investment group? More than likely, he's splitting that payment with someone. Anthony Seleh is a co-founder, so thats 1 dude getting a cut. Who is the other?

It annoys me when ppl act like these celebs do this all by themselves. They have partners. And those partners probably have a partner. So its sll guessing
Nas invest as a partner in his company and as an individual. He has 3 other partners but they all invest differently. The majority of Nas investment in coin base was solo. He also gave away some to his fans.

We've been talking about Nas investments for a few years on this site. I don't think there's one thread where Anthony Saleh wasn't given his proper credit. And there are only two founders of QBVP. Coindesk isn't a blog btw.

Anthony and Dee getting Nas to connect with Ben Horowitz back in 2012 is how this this started. Since then hes been all in on angel investing and tech.
I remember reading back in 2013 that he invested in 100 things including bitcoin/coinbase and thought that was risky especially when at the time all I heard was it was connected to the dark web etc but clearly Ben showed him the change

I think Ant just influenced Nas to get the team and hustle in Silicon, but Stoute introduced them to Horowitz if Im not mistaken. Steve would throw dinners and invite Nas to them. Its along that line.

After reading Outliers by Malcom Gladwell, I don't believe in self-made anymore. Luck is opportunity meeting preparation. Nelly probably made more money selling records than Nas. But Nas meeting with Ben Horrowitz indroduced him to a whole new circle of contacts that could multiply his money by 20x.

Let's not start talking crazy to make a point...Nelly was hot for 4yrs. By the fifth year it was already over. Nas is still active.

I can confidently say that Nelly did not see more money in music than Nasir

the short of it is...

...a decentralized currency that cant by manipulated by governments/central banks.

When they print the money like they have...it devalues the money you have.

Also...when youre money is in the bank...they can take that shyt whenever they feel like it...
...that cant happen w/ btc.

can’t be manipulated:mjlol:

crypto isn’t insured, regulated or back by anything

Everything you see pre IPO is meant to pump the valuation for the VC and angel investors

There’s no way of knowing the proper value of a company until it’s been on the market
The ipo price is the “proper price” - what it debuts for on the market is usually a premium

Kelis somewhere grinning.
nope she remarried and don't get no alimony just child support, she's not touching this. Her assault slander allegations failed and he blocked her from living in Columbia. Nas beating her in court repeatedly back to back silenced her.

Can someone explain how Nas will make 100 million off this?

I look at cash, work and facts.

I'm not for bitcoin, crypto or any digital currency.

In the last three years I made a profit on my investments but it's all low risk.

I just look at these posts and everyone's so excited off a blog, a tweet and speculation.

My bad if I'm bringing a bad buzz - I just want to understand how he'll get 100 million in cash.

Nas and QB Ventures invested in Coinbase, they have a small ownership stake. And they invested relatively early, so their stake has already gained value now that CB’s valuation has grown.

Coinbase is about to go public, meaning that QB Ventures is about to cash out. That ownership stake they had gets transferred to stock. They can keep the stock in Coinbase or they can liquidate it immediately.

They invested in US Dollars. Don’t get caught up on the fact that Coinbase deals with crypto, they’re about to be a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. This isn’t magic fairy money they’re playing with, it’s US Dollars.

We can’t just say Nas is gonna walk away w/ $100 Million next week. The number will vary depending on opening price, but whether it’s 100 or 55 or 80, it’s impressive as hell.

I saw people (not you) gargle Jay-Z’s balls because he had a .003 % ownership stake in the Nets, but they won’t give Nas credit for being an early investor in some of the most innovative tech companies we’ve seen.
