Nas - Untitled... 10 Years Later

Classic album

I dont remember if this was just a leak or featured on a mixtape around that time but it would've been dope if it was paired with queens get the money for the intro.

I've always had this as the intro to the album in my library. Beat and content play directly into queens get the money, it's pretty obvious that at some point this was the intro track for Untitled. Wonder if it was an issue with sample clearance or maybe a label head found the closing bars too controversial.
Album and the tape both have aged well, wonder how we'll be looking back at Nasir in a few yeats

Track was clearly written with the original beat in mind, 3rd verse especially. Enjoy this far more than the released version, wonder what caused the Bowie sample to not be cleared

Underrated album in his catalog. This was clearly a more focused album than Hip Hop Is Dead. It was spotty in some parts, but overall, a great album in his catalog. These were some of my favorites:

Queens Get The Money

Breathe

We Make The World Go Round (a lot of people hate this, but Nas killed this track)

Farrakhan (Untitled)- probably the best song on the album. Crazy that Biggie's "My Downfall" inspired this song

I wonder what the original album sounded like though. Some of the songs leaked, but I remember reading an article where they talked about songs that Will.I.Am and Alchemist produced. There were supposedly four piano interludes produced by Jay Electronica. No I.D. had production on the album including a version of "Project Roach".

He started that album with Diddy's Hitmen, No I.D., and DJ Toomp, but only Toomp's work made the final album. Toomp revealed that he has four other records with Nas in the vaults. Khaled's "I'm On" was supposed to be on the album as well. It was pitched to Nas as a single, but when Nas declined it as a single, Khaled kept it.

The nikka tape was also piff.

I don't think that it's necessarily a bad song, but it is out of place and can take you out of the album.
