:childplease: Lupe is not a better lyricst than Nas please, Lupe is a good lyricist but completely overrated.

Lupe's shyt is overly intricate and at times downright corny. Let's not forget Lupe is a Nasir stan, and It Was Written got him into rap.

Lupe is a better lyricist then nas, but nas is better at writing and conveying his thoughts. Nas is obviously the better artist. nas is the best rapper alive.

lupe fiasco to me is the iller lyricist then nas imo in terms of rhyme patterns metaphors wordplay and overall song writing and flow.
Nas obviously although there are many similarities btwn the two. Both were heralded as the next big thing. Both are exceedingly lyrical. Both fell off after their second album and struggled through two subpar albums. It will be interesting to see if Lupe can get back on track like Nas did.

Dam you know what's crazy too breh? Jay sparked a fire in Nas, which led to Nas making Stillmatic, which is considered a classic by some. Now you got Kendrick sparking a fire in Lupe.

Tbh I don't see how Lupe is better than Nas lyrically. Writing intricate lyrics that fly over many people's heads doesn't make you a better lyricst. Illmatic was full of multis and internal rhymes, metaphorically speaking look at It Was Written, the whole I Gave You Power was written in the perspective of a gun, and on Take It In The Blood the line "hip hops got me on some ol', spraying bullets like a drumroll" I have never forgotten.

How is Lupe touching Nas in terms of song writing? The way Nas conveys his thoughts is superior, he paints pictures, Lupe ain't touching Nas' flow, Nas is calm and relaxed, Lupe is shrieking and like I said it sounds corny and forced at times.

not nas or jay can see lupe lyrically...when it comes to straight lyrics and no other factor lupe is supreme...lupe also has mic presence, delivery and flow over Nas...

Lupe is actually in every way better than Nas..in every way..not one aspect exists where Nas is better than Lu :obama:

Not comparable
Nas is a pure lyricist

Lupe is a lyricist but also with crazy metaphors and very strategic topic content, strategic in his eyes that is

Foh u a Jay stan who stays shytting on Nas every chance he gets

Real talk Lupe don't got a more lyrical track than NY State of Mind, and he's never displayed the emotion Nas did on One Love of One Mic.

Lupe completely shyts on naS lyrically. naS does have Lu beat slightly in storytelling, but that about it. naS has shyt like "nacho cheese, I'm Castro" Lupe has "Streets on Fire"
