This is a great fall/winter album for me.....I played it heavy back in November 2002, some of the tracks had a haunted quality 'Last Real nikka Alive', 'Mastermind'....I remember when it leaked, right before or after 'Blueprint 2', at the time I didn't like 'Made U Look' that much...but the album was dope. 13 some odd years later, it shows it's age in a few spots....the Eminem beat, while I liked his production back then, for it's 'dark' qualities, it's aged badly. 'Warrior Song' had great lyrics, poor production, 'Heaven', I never liked the Nas fast flow. 'Hey Nas' is a forgotten little dope track, that I always loved. 'Dance' was my shyt too. It's about time to throw this back on my phone.

Who remember the bonus cd? 'p*ssy Kills' and 'Thug Mirror'.....The latter being a perfect Nas track.

Yep that sequencing of those songs, mastermind, least real nikka alive, revolutionary warfare...best part of the album to me.

She did. It took me a minute to really give that song a chance but I love that track. She built a crazy ass crescendo at the end of the track, real dope. Keys in her early days was so dope.
Was it really Alicia tho? Weren't her and that boyfriend of hers a production "duo" back then, but he did most of the real producing?

I agree with you brah but jungles verse is a personal classic to me

"brrrrrr forehead yawning" :gotdamn:

"buss guns at bow wow age" :jadakisshuh::jaylmao:

True I agree but I was mainly speaking on public perception cause nikkas shytted on they verses...
I waw listening to that the other day thinking why couldnt Nas tell the bravehearts and especially wiz to get their bars up. They should have taken everyone off that even nas and put nashawn on there or some sh*t.

:salute:

Now I didn't think of that but your right that would of been perfect for him too come on and rip and just a interlude...then you got nikkas checking for the kid...But we ain't in power

Get Down, The Cross (9th wonder), Made Ya Look, Last Real Ninja Alive would have been one of the best ways to set shyt off ever.

the booklet said A. Keys and not 88 Keys.. thats why i dont think that guy was involved.. the duo was 88 Keys..

I played Dance everyday when my grandma died that song is something else

I love Dance.. but Heaven hits me harder and reminds me of my father more (he died when i was 13) ... I think it's the beat and the hook... Because plenty of times I've thought about leaving this world.. so that chorus/hook touches me . and then when nas talks at the end.. it reminds me of why i'm still here

That's possible, but I'm pretty sure it's credited to her in the liner notes. Then again it's probably been 13 years since I read them so could be wrong.

I liked this more than stillmatic. I know that's gotta be unpopular opinion tho, but the album was more solid to me, had more meaningful shyt to say.
