I just lost my moms 2 weeks ago, never will I listen to these song again because I’d break down :mjcry:

R.I.P who ever has lost their parent or parents.
One of the most painful things we'll ever go through in life.

Lost my mom over 6 years ago so I know how it is. Just make sure you grieve properly and lean on your loved ones.

Sorry for your loss. May she rest in paradise.

That's exactly what made it powerful. A lot of people listening to that, myself included had parents with drug problems. Most of the time in rap music or media in general, drug addicts, especially black drug addicts are dehumanized. Him putting that out there like he did was cathartic for all the young black men who now had permission to set aside the anger and despair to celebrate their mothers even when they couldn't be good parents.

Couldn't have said it better. Only other line I can think of that kinda hit like that for me is when Nas said "I love u still, always will, cause u my nikka, although u felt u was wrong, I still feel u kid, life goes on.." on Poppa Was A Playa. shyt made me wanna build a better relationship wit my pops despite us having hardships.
