Embrace the humor man…. Stop fighting it
I love humor, i just like for it to be focused in one character. A comic relief person. a lot of Modern comedy tries too hard to give everybody in the cast a laugh or two.
That turns a movie from having humor to being camp imo.
In Guardians, and the recent Thor movies. Everyone is cracking jokes, Even the villains. They had Hela making funnies at some points.
The formula has changed. In 2008 Tony Stark was the only character in on the jokes, everybody else was playing straight. Spiderman too. Even Deadpool, for the most part has all serious characters and leave it up to deadpool himself to drive the humor. (exception being his friend the bar tendor, but he's a minor character.)

I really don’t think it’s a problem and all that serious as long as it’s written well.

But I think to a degree fans be getting a little OD with they complaints about it

It’s like relax, I seen some shows get praised for a lot of the shyt some Marvel movies get fake criticized for.

As long as the execution lands it’s all good to me. Like The Boys and Preacher prime examples of IP funnier and sillier than every Marvel movie.

Natalie Portman as Thor ???

I didn't read the old comics so I understand what yall are saying about it following the story line

but if I knew Jane Foster would be the next Thor I would've preferred an actress with a more powerful presence than Natalie Portman
You should probably read the comics. Jane was literally on her death bed due to cancer when she became Thor and it was killing her to continue being Thor but she did it anyways. Portman is a great casting. Jane Foster Thor is shockingly popular and there are fans who like her Thor more than regular Thor.

People who took issue with Foster being casted as the next Thor are in most cases probably not comic books fans

That might be true, but i also think one pervasive complaint people often have about women in super hero roles, is their stature. Generally they cast big burly men to play people like Thor, Cap, etc. Muscle dudes in the comics, muscle dudes in the movies. The female superheros on the other while they are usually taller and more physically imposing in the comics. In the movies, they seem to cast regular short actress standing at 5'2" to play them. It would be cool to cast a women who actually looks like she could kick open a door.
Before her alt right crazy twitter habits ruined it, thats why alot of people enjoyed seeing Gina Carono in her role in the Mandalorian. It also makes the action scenes better because you can cast bigger stronger stunt actors,(some times even men is disguise as women) without it being obvious.
I'm not saying you should cast Ronda Rousey to play Jane. But that actress who played Lady Siv was a perfect bodytype and height for a typical superheroine. Xena was dopa af too and not a tiny women either.

Jane Foster Thor isn't big and burly tho. It wouldn't have made sense to have a dying cancer patient be jacked like Wonder Woman in the comics

I understand, different women in the comics have different builds. Jane isn't going to be SheHulk. But they still cast little women in all the roles. She's like 5'2"
Valkrye is also short and she's supposed to be a legit Asgardian.
Both Black Widows are short. around 5'3"
Tallest Women in the MCU like Gamora, Scarlett Witch and Captain Marvel are all like 5'7" Captain Marvel at least should have been taller.

Lucy Lawless and Gal Gadot for example are both 5'10"

Sure but people to this day hate Gadot as Wonder Woman. I personally think the Valkyrie casting is better than Gadot.
