He is speaking about black feminists and black gay males. They have been pissed about his white wife and "homophobic" comments. They were not going to see it anyway, so I have no idea why he is giving them any attention. I doubt that it will negatively affect him. It seems to be confined to that segment of the internet, and people in the industry have been speaking glowingly about him. The black feminists tried the same thing with Creed and Straight Outta Compton, and those movies turned out to be blockbusters.

I got love for Nate Parker. I support him and will support this film. But did anyone hear ol girl on Tariq's show Sunday said he seems a little c00nish to marry the women that keep getting his ass in trouble. Going with Fox (the same company bringing Bill Oreilly) instead of the brutha man Byron Allen. And as Tariq mentioned a company like Fox will buy your shyt just to shelve it.

I ain't mad but I gotta admit Nate signing that movie with FOX is the reason for all this shyt. I seriously doubt this would've happened going with Byron Allen

As Black person I'm kind of disappointed with NP.

I share your sentiments and I'm disappointed that this talented and determined young brother married a cac (or Hispanic, whatever, it's anti black). From a pro black point of view, Nate Parker is a troubled figure however one looks at him. That said I am still going to support the movie for what it's message and the story it tells. I can tell Nate wants to be pro black but just took some wrong turns on the road.

I said this as soon as the movie was purchased.

Cacs don't embrace movies like this...My "cacs gon cac" senses are tingling. :jbhmm:
Who's to say it wont be on some Django type shiit where the white dude is the real impetus of progress and hero in the story.
