And this is looking like Sabans best class ever. 5 5-Star players *wipes crumbs off shirt*

And i see you Tennessee.

What players are you looking forward to getting on your team and who do you think might pull a swerve?

5-star Rashaan Evans visited by Auburn, Alabama coaching staffs simultaneously at family party

Saturday night marked the final evening of permitted contact between 2014 recruits and college coaches and both the Auburn and Alabama coaching staffs took advantage of every last minute they could spend with one of the top remaining uncommitted recruits in the country. Auburn High School outside linebacker Rashaan Evans was visited at his home by both staffs Saturday night during his grandfather's 80th birthday party, creating a scene that Evans' father Alan Evans said was almost surreal.

"It was Bama and Auburn in the same room. Really a once in a lifetime event," said the elder Evans.

The Evans family was originally scheduled to host Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart but as the two staffs continued to firm up their plans for the evening, the guest list grew. Alan Evans said Malzahn was accompanied by the entire defensive staff from Auburn while Smart was joined by fellow Alabama assistants Lance Thompson, Burton Burns and Bo Davis.

"Both staffs were very cordial to each other. They ended up hanging out together and both trying to talk to Rashaan whenever they could."

Evans, a 5-star prospects and the nation's No. 1 outside linebacker according to the 247Composite rankings, is set to announce his college decision on Wednesday at 10 a.m. live on ESPNU. The announcement will be held at Auburn High School and will be closed to fans and students, with only media, family and close friends invited to attend

Fam:
Article in the FREEP .. thought it was kinda funny in regards to Malik McDowell's recruitment ..

"McDowell arrived at school, entered a tiny office and sat against the left wall in the middle of a row of chairs. At a small round table, Narduzzi (MSU DC) began speaking, talking about football, about life, about his future in both areas — the door closed for just the two of them.

“Michigan State was here, then Michigan came, they just walked right in and sat down,” McDowell said. “That was pretty funny. I was just sitting there watching … (Coach) Narduzzi was sitting right here. It just all stopped. Then (Mattison) was like, ‘Oh, is this a bad time?’ It made me laugh.”

Mattison gives zero fukks.

fukk an MSU.
This shyt is SERIOUS breh. Thats when you know a rivalry is no joke.

I think the only prospect I'm wondering about for Virginia is Derrick Nnadi. Andrew Brown is enrolled, and Quin Blanding's not going anywhere.

Five on flip watch for signing day
Virginia Tech commit and No. 117 Ja'Von Harrison (Lakeland, Fla./Kathleen): The longtime Hokies commit made official visits to Florida Dec. 13 and Florida State Jan. 17 before finishing up his officials at Virginia Tech Jan. 24. While the Hokies received the last official, the Seminoles seem poised to flip the versatile athlete, who could play receiver or safety at the next level, with defense being more likely. The loss for the Hokies would sting as Harrison was an early evaluation and commitment before the Gators and Seminoles offered, and they put on the full-court January press. For Florida State, it would be continued flexing of Sunshine State muscle, landing a prospect with size and range.

Ohio State commit Jamarco Jones(Chicago/De La Salle): Jones, No. 74 overall, had been a lock to the Buckeyes since committing in June. That was until the decision last week to make an official visit to Michigan State over the weekend. The departure of Ohio State assistant Mike Vrabel to the NFL is at the center of Jones’ cause for pause, but Vrabel would not have been Jones’ position coach.

Florida commit J.C. Jackson(Immokalee, Fla./Immokalee): It wouldn’t be a potential #SigningDay flip story without mentioning the versatile Jackson, No. 79 overall. The onetime Florida State commit and current Florida pledge has been on campus in Coral Gables five times since committing to the Gators in June, which includes a Dec. 13 official visit. Should Jackson flip to the Hurricanes, he would be the first prospect to commit to all big three programs in the Sunshine State in the same cycle.

Florida State commit Treon Harris (Miami/Booker T. Washington): This recruitment boils down to one thing: Where does Harris, No. 163 overall, believe is his best chance to play quarterback at the next level? While Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher was the first to recruit Harris with the potential to play under center at the next level, both Florida and Miami have made strong January pitches as to his ability to play quarterback in the Gators' and Hurricanes' schemes. A Jan. 24 visit to Auburn is also in the books.

Florida State commit Dexter Wideman (Saluda, S.C./Saluda): Wideman, No. 179 overall, has been committed to the Seminoles since late July, but in recent weeks and months there has been more chatter around the talented defensive tackle signing with in-state South Carolina. Should the Gamecocks win the race for Wideman, he would help fill a void on the defensive front with the early departure of not only Jadeveon Clowney but also defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles to the NFL draft.

Predicting national signing day

USC will clean up
The West is where most of the major headlines on signing day will occur, with four of the top eight players on the West Coast still on the board, including five-star cornerback Adoree' Jackson(Gardena, Calif./Serra), No. 3 athlete Juju Smith (Long Beach, Calif./Poly) and No. 4 guardDamien Mama (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco). Heading into the final few hours before signing day, USC is in very good position with all three prospects, and I project the Trojans will land all of them, pushing them into the top 20 of the class rankings. Even if they miss on any combination of the three, the job new coach Steve Sarkisian has done down the stretch proved to a lot of observers that USC will be a force to be reckoned with in the Pac-12. Mama announces at 11 a.m. ET, Jackson at 2 p.m. and Smith at 4 p.m. -- all live on ESPNU.

Evans will shock with his pick
My head tells me I'm going to regret making his prediction, because history tells me Auburn doesn't lose these types of battles for guys in its backyard. But I'm going to predict Alabama lands No. 2 outside linebackerRashaan Evans. I know that bucks virtually every projection out there, and my head tells me the Tigers are the right pick, but with the way former five-star recruit and current Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster has been hanging out with his former Auburn (Ala.) High School teammate, you can't diminish the Tide's chances. At this point, Alabama and Auburn coaches aren't sure which way Evans is leaning, and both staffs pulled out all the stops by attending Evans' grandfather's 80th birthday party on Saturday night at a hotel in Auburn. Something just tells me Alabama has a better chance than most people think.

Big Game Bob comes up big
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops was asked shortly after the Allstate Sugar Bowl how the victory over Alabama would help on the recruiting trail, and he said it would provide the Sooners "a big boost." He was right. They have surged down the home stretch and it will continue on signing day. Oklahoma will land the No. 75 player in the ESPN 300 and No. 9 athlete, Michiah Quick (Fresno, Calif./Central East), and No. 139 player and No. 9 safety Steven Parker II(Jenks, Okla./Jenks). The Sooners also are in good shape with three-star offensive tackle Kenyon Frison (West Valley, Utah/Granger), and if they reel him in, they could end up with the best class in the Big 12. Heading into signing day, the Sooners are just two spots behind Texas at No. 16 in the class rankings.

Petersen proves he can close in Pac-12
New Washington coach Chris Petersen raised a lot of eyebrows when he told a local radio station late last week he anticipated this class would "finish strong." After he was hired, many Huskies fans were worried Petersen and his staff wouldn't be able to recruit with the big boys of the Pac-12, as a number of top targets were on the brink of heading elsewhere. But Petersen got to work right away, and all signs now point toward Washington closing as strongly as anybody in the conference. The Huskies will land Bishard Baker, the No. 7 safety out of Bellevue (Wash.) High, and they could also get about five more players on Wednesday. Getting Baker, who at one point seemed like a lock for UCLA, would be a huge get for Petersen because he's a Seattle guy, and it would mean he protected his home turf against a very good UCLA recruiting staff.

Smith plays it close to vest
Few recruits have kept people in suspense like Braden Smith, the four-star offensive guard from Olathe (Kan.) South. Smith, the No. 9 offensive guard, hasn't kept people in the dark on purpose. It's not his style to give detailed reports on his top schools, so there is certainly some mystery about whom he signs with Wednesday. The projection here is that Smith signs with Auburn, picking it over TCU and Texas A&M. Smith and his family have talked to Auburn's track coaches about allowing his sister, Megan, to use their facilities after she graduates from TCU in preparation for international competitions in the shot put and discus. In the end, that -- and playing for a school that has immediate holes to fill along the offensive line -- will make the difference.

Florida State pulls off at least one shocker
With great recruiters like Jimbo Fisher and Tim Brewster leading the way and the Seminoles red-hot after winning the national championship, Florida State is primed to make some major noise on signing day. It's almost a given the Noles will land Ermon Lane, the nation's No. 2 receiver out of Homestead (Fla.) High, so that's really not a shocker. The Noles are on the final lists of No. 1 receiver Malachi Dupre (River Ridge, La./John Curtis) and No. 6 defensive end Chad Thomas(Miami/Booker T. Washington), though, and conventional wisdom says Dupre signs with LSU and Thomas sticks with Miami. But don't rule out something big happening with either. The most obvious candidate to flip is four-star athlete Ja'Von Harrison (Lakeland, Fla./Kathleen). Harrison has been a longtime Virginia Tech commitment, but it's always hard for out-of-state schools to hold on to commits when an in-state team like Florida State makes a push before signing day. Don't rule out FSU with Malik McDowell, the No. 5 defensive tackle from Detroit Loyola, either.

this is lookin like a WOAT michigan class :scusthov: peppers and a bunch of whatevers
:smh:@us losing McDowell and Hand. We have some sleepers that we picked up but still :smh:. That terrible coaching job this season cost us what was shaping up to be a top 5 class. Both sides of the ball were suspect. There was no reason for Penn St. to score that many times on us.
