Out here in my damn drawls
This works if you're not expendable

I worked there around '06 @ 15. My orientation happened right after my 10 minute interview, and all it was was me watching a talking hamburger on a laptop in a room by myself (which I fast forwarded)

I basically trained myself because the dude that was supposed to do it took 30 minute cigarette breaks every 45 minutes on the job :pachaha:

I'm not saying that they shouldn't fight for a better wage, but I'm sure it's futile because a 15 year old is waiting in the cut for some summer pocket change :yeshrug:

Please. McDonald's profits can allow the owners to pay them waaaay more than 15 an hour and they would still turn a ridiculously high profit while keeping the same prices..those owners are just greedy fukks

The thing is you can find just about anyone on the street to flip burgers and take orders. They are easily replaceable. So many people who have nothing would love to have that job for the same wage they have now.

I know breh, which is sad, but that is the truth. THis system has corrupted the people into thinking their production is worth only the bare minimum; hell, the owners wouldn't pay them damn near anything if not for labor laws. fukking disgusting

These people would have a lot more support if they actually went after the CEOs cause they really aren't going to ever convince the majority of the public they deserve more pay, especially when the food is shytty and the service is horrible at most of these cheap fast food locations.

McDonalds, Taco Bell, KFC, etc. all shytty places that most people only eat when they are (a) drunk and (b) knowing they are about to get shytty service and (c) knowing the food is not gonna be that great.

People would gladly get behind a movement to support Chick Fil-A, Chipotle, etc. that are known for consistently great food and service, giving a reason to justify a wage increase. Shiet, I would not mind paying $1.00 increase at any of those places.

But yeah, if they led a movement against CEO wages they'd get a lot far. You can't offer less than subpar service and expect people to fukk with you on some real shyt and most of them have way shytty attitudes.

This is the major point. The public is too divided on this issue. Which will allow the CEO's to sit in the cut and not worry about too much, especially when they can probably replace those workers easily.

15 an hour is way too high for fast food work. I doubt it happens. It may cause a chain reaction where people working at lesser paying jobs would want to work fast food for more money. I sure wouldn't. I can see the prices going up too. If the employees quit or strike based on low wages, there's always a new group of employees willing to work. Every single person on earth is expendable at their job, whether they're the best or the worst at it. Workers want more money, corporations want cheaper labor. Guess who's gonna win that battle.
