Classic! I was in the studio for this one.

This was toward the end of the NE peak, back with the OG crew.

This was how I got started in the business. Fortress was the launchpad for me.

:salute:

Damn you taking me back. I remember when Vidal and them started this. I was up in the attic 91ish - 94.

Great times!

YESSIR!

We might've been up there at the same time, bro!

I got up there late '94. Every Saturday after that for a couple years! Back when V was doing the thing where you had to go around the back of the house and yell up at the window over the beats, to get in, if he wasn't with you. His mom would always give us the approval nod when we walked in. LOL!! I was still a kid, so Randy and V would come and pick me up sometimes from the 2 train station and we would walk back to the house.

This is back when Big Tim was still there, and G-Blass and them. They would take me back home and drop me off uptown in the hooptie, and I would have all these tapes of sh*t we did up there that night. Definitely great times! I loved being up there, back then.

NE had some really dope freestyles back in the Stretch and Bobbito days. My brother was in the scene during the 90's and A-butta, in particular, was really cool and supportive. I remember seeing Swigga pop up at a cookout that A was performing at, and we got some live NE tracks performed impromptu.

Swigga and A both have a lot of dope solo work too. Swigga had a track called Swisher Sweet that I used to play non-stop, and A dropped a project called Vaudeville Spit that had some tracks I had on repeat for a long time.

Ah! Word!

Tim was funny as a MF! I got there right after you left then because it was like September-October '94. This was when L was still roommates with Neil and all that. LOL!! Probably about a year before A-Butta got there. But Essence came through a little after I did, and then later, I was around when Char did the stuff for Last Emperor. By mid to late '96, I wasn't going as much and got a gig at Sony.

But I still kept in touch with everybody though. I still have all of the tapes we made up there. I tell people all the time, I would just sit some nights and watch Char make beats on the spot while we were all sittin' around and eating/chillin'. They were kinda like my big brothers back then, so that was a mad impactful time that I got to spend up there.
