i think history doesnt treat them that well because they never put together a classic album. and it doesnt help that theyre not from new york either.

but dammit man, their singles catalog is amongst the elite.:whew: and they had arguably the biggest movement during those early '90s years that are usually considered to be so precious.

I think it's because Treach was the only one from the group worth checking for.

kay-gee is just as good a producer as treach is as a rapper.

vinnie was clearly the brains behind the operation, which is what put them over the top.

Kay Gee is a phenomenal producer. Hip hop and r&b.

Yup that's my cuz.

No I do think get overlooked a crew which is odd because every wanted to rap like Treach.

I actually think the 1st 2 albums are classics s well and even the later albums had bangers but I'm a little biased. I was there from inception more or less and saw a lot of the NJ hip-hop scene 1st hand.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Treach isn't underrated, just overhyped........

.....he was doing that before NBN and changed his WHOLE steez to 'fit in'.

I actually BOUGHT that tape and threw it in the trash. When NBN's first album came out, it got the same treatment since I only liked 3 tracks. The rest was just a weed plate.

It's funny the 1st maxi single with OPP and Wickest Man Alive was underwhelming to me but I went ahead and bought the album...glad I did!!

Personal Classic album to me
  1. "Yoke the Joker" – 5:13 Classic start to an album
  2. "Wickedest Man Alive (feat. Queen Latifah)" – 4:21 okay joint, nothing to write home about
  3. "O.P.P." – 4:31 again a big song but wasn't my cup a tea but cool for what it was
  4. "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" – 4:51 classic song and the video made it even better
  5. "Let the Ho's Go" – 4:16 - another dope album cut. Treach once agin goin in like he did on the opener
  6. "Every Day All Day" – 5:41 - underrated joint...I slept on this but it grew on me
  7. "Guard Your Grill" – 5:02 - once again Treach spittin that raw. Great album cut
  8. "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" – 3:47 - a throwback joint to the late 80s...sounds very 45 Kingish...good but not great track
  9. "1, 2, 3 (feat. Lakim Shabazz and Apache)" – 4:44 - Raw azz song with DOC voice sample. All came raw on this classic album cut
  10. "Strike a Nerve" – 6:22 - Another good but not great song
  11. "Rhyme'll Shine On (feat. Aphrodity)" – 3:56 - song is lite in the azz but alright
  12. "Thankx for Sleepwalking" – 5:26 - Great way to end an album
I can see cats saying it's not an instant classic but the album had too many dope songs to be weed plate....that was Queen Latifah's album that came out the same year. She tricked me with Latifah's Had It Up to Here.

That's dope brother. Musta been cool to be around that scene at the time.

I really like their first 4 albums. Treach wasn't spitting as furious on the 4th album, but there are some classics on there, and Kay Gee's production was still evolving and really good on there.
