navy brehs... some advice before i consider joining?

I seen some advice about getting a degree before you go into the military. To me, that shyt is hustling backwards. Officers eat good in the Military tho.

To the brehs talking bout moving to Atlanta on some music shyt. Hit me if y'all move. I know a few artist, producers, stylist,etc.... that I can probably link y'all up with.

I moved to Atlanta last year and within an hour of me arriving, I bumped into Rich Homie Quan buying some damn toothpaste at a Walmart in Decatur. shyt, I make boom bap hip hop beats and I can still eat if I'm on my grind. shyt is more of a hobby tho. But I know hella people out here so I'll try to link you up with some folks

I'm about to give you the REAL nikka Navy breakdown

First things first. fukk what everyone else is talking about. The #1 thing you MUST DO while in the Navy constantly go to the doctor for ANYTHING that may happen to you medically. I don't care how minor it is. You need to do this so you can have documented problems caused by the Military. This will allow you to file a disability claim when you leave the Navy. You can get hundreds of tax free dollars monthly FOR LIFE. Breh, if you don't take any advice about the Navy, please take this. Go all out. Tell them you are depressed, claustrophobic, impotent...etc Just make sure when you leave, the Navy has documented plenty of shyt wrong with you. If a condition or injury occurs for real, then all the more better. Document everything by going to the doctor. It's a million dollar lick an it's easy to hit.

Everything else is really about getting out of the Navy with all your benefits in tact and not getting kicked out. It's gon' be some bullshyt. Ain't no way around it. Smoke weed at your own risk. nikkas be dropping like flies off them piss test.

Not even gonna tell you about the Navy experience because that shyt is random and it basically depends on which duty station you go to and the people that are there at the time. It's gon' be gay as hell tho.

Listen to this man . What I did was purposely fail my hearing tests each year. Made sure that hearing baseline looked worse and worse. Got out and am still eating off the navy. This man speaks the truth

You're getting great advice. My husband just retired at 23 years in from the Navy.

I must second whoever said don't let those recruiters talk you into some bullshyt that just good for them and not for you.

you're fukking up the world like everyone else park that high horse out front. military is fukked up, duh, but its also one of the few systems out there that allow you (damn near encourage you) to fukk it right back and use everything you gain to step above it all, or at the very least step out higher than where you started

Prior military service can absolutely give you a leg up in the workforce.
Take it from someone with many years as a hiring manager, it looks good on a resume.
