I wouldn't send any woman in my life to anything other than AF.

The AF isn’t any more safer. All of these branches deal with many of the same issues. Which is why I think they should take investigation/charging of sexual issues out of the military.

I agree that sexual assault in the military is a crisis.

The overall culture in the AF is better for adjusting back through to civilian life. Jobs, QoL, and facilities.

There is reason why everybody wants the AF and gets salty when they can't get in.

I still wouldn't send any woman I know to the Army or Marines.

Navy is a stretch.

I think that SECDEF has already made a motion towards charging members outside of the military for sexual crimes.

I was enlisted (navy) I didn’t have a lot of options but I’m glad I joined even though I had to endure some things. Joining the military was a stepping stone and due to that I’m upper middle class

I am a woman and was no whore


A woman is going to sleep around if she wants to regardless if she joins the military or not as long as she doesn’t loose the eye on the price then nothing else matters

the world is fukked inside and out of the military some shyt like racism, sexual assault, violence - honestly its kinda universal. use the tools you've got, find more, and be a part of your own solution.. it applies everywhere

and i keep saying it, but universities have a bigger sexual harassment/violence issue than the military does. college literally don't even have to report shyt to LE, they provide almost no services considering the volume of cases they encounter internally and resources they're able to provide, and outside of orientation (maybe) they make no effort to educate anyone.

Thread is 7 years old lol.

She didn't join the military although maybe she should have. She ended up having a couple of kids while working as a CNA. But she's now back in school for a Physical Therapy degree.
