That statement was as robotic a speech as he has ever given. He never went off script (and for Trump that's very unusual).

Personally, I don't think he would have made that statement if it were solely up to him (big surprise, I know). He would have been content to let the media scrutinize his statements while he ignored it, but Gen. Kelly was probably like :bpufedup: from behind the scenes.

Like the kid who is forced to apologize for bullying.

I remember having a conversation with my friends, the both sides are evil types, right after the election and being called an alarmist.
