im there right now. ill update you guys later but so far its been very peaceful, with far more counter-protesters.
So the "free speech" protesters had a permit for 12-5 pm. The police had the area totally sectioned off- no weapons or bags were allowed in at all.
The area where all the white supremacists and Trump supporters were was this one gazebo. The cops had a barrier set up, we were a lot of yards away from it. Anytime someone wanted to join them they got a police escort walking there and we all chanted "walk of shame."
It looked like there were less than 100 of the "free speech" people, thousands of us protesting them.
Also none of the white supremacists were wearing blatant hate shyt, like klan masks and swastikas. Werent fooling any of us though.
Around one, four hours before their permit would run out, they all left the gazebo. This was the point where we basically thought wed beaten them for the day. I had to leave the city just now because I work out of it. I can post pics later once I figure how to get ones from phone to the site.
edit: i didnt make this clear earlier because i thought it was pretty obvious but it was clear everybody there wanted trump out of the presidency. one of the most common signs was of him standing in front of two klansmen, drawn in the same way. i know boston doesnt exactly reflect the whole country but this whole city needs this man gone
