I bought it and couldn't even figure out how to take a shot. Also took me an hour to be able to choose a team not named the heat or spurs.

AY THAT stupid Catchup /Comeback nonsense is the worse. I dont want your help and dont help these cheesin/exploit abusing clowns.
All you have to do is call a couple of timeouts when you're down 10 or more and watch your opponent throw the ball completely out of bounds for no reason whatsoever. its that bad.
I put a Godzilla Foot on this dude last night it was so bad. I started out of the gate(no cheese/no exploits and no lag) up 20 to 5. the defense was impeccable. first time in a long time since this dude by mere luck had a good connection too just like me. that almost never happens. The moment i went up 15. he calls a timeout. when i tell you i'm killing this dude. i have 3 blocks already(legit, not some cheese crap). a couple of steals. and just plain making dude take tough /bad shots. he had a little post game but my post de is serious. again no glitch/gimmics. it was man to man on everything. he passes it, i'm switching to the man he passes it to. not afraid at all.
then he calls the times outs. next thing i know. i run out of bounds for no reason. then i grab a rebound and go to turn to my pg thats 2 feet in front of me. and they make it pass it full court. straight out of bounds. ok, now its time to do direct passes. doesnt matter. the comeback cheese is in the game. I'm still throwing balls away with PG's with super high pass ratings. the same guys i was just throwing backdoor lobs with, i cant make a simple chest pass to a guy 5 feet away to run a play. STOP IT 2k.. STOP IT.
he cuts the lead down to 9. this fool is hype. he's pausing the game on and off to show how happy he is. I put that Foot back on his neck. another 10 - 0 run. we're back up big.. he calls another 2 times outs. same result. i cant catch, cant make layups on my on and cant make wide open jumpers with shooters. he cuts it down to 12. the foot is back on again after the half. This time i aint playing with this dude. we go 25. time out time out. cuts it back down to 15. i said eff it. Trap time. trap with Anthony davis as a roamer. Pick, gimme dat. . kick it to Trev, bounce pass to harden(he thought the lob was coming YAMMMMMMMMM...and 1... LETS GO.
the game was finally over from that point. i won by 30 and change. a massacre. and no dude didnt completely suck. i'm that good when there's no lag. and the other guy isnt a complete 3 point cheeser. which i give dude props for. he was trying to play ball. but 2k and that hand holding catchup stuff is for the birds.
thats that new era young boy "everybody wins" nonsense. my era, you lose, you lose, you get whooped you get whooped. the 21 rule in madden came out of my era. They are really trying to protect these casuals egos. its pathetic. but they lie and tell us The game is made for Sim Play. STOP THE LIES.
if they are draiing 3's while you're lagging. they have the slower connection. i dont care what anyone tells you. The way it works in the real world is this.

rapbeats has a suspect connection( i pay 19.99 for my internet-most people have this cheaper connection. dont let them telll you otherwise)
when you play me. you will lag more then me. because the game will play the slowest persons speed. How could it do anything else? You can only go as fast as the slowest person. but that means what you see on your end Nuke, is not actually in real time so to speak. thats why when you make that pass its open. but by the time that pass comes out of your hands. me with my bad connection can see the pass coming a mile away. i can see you turn your guy and basically telegraph the pass. this is another reason why there are so many steals on this game in the passing lane. you're not that stupid of a passer to keep throwing a telegraphed pass. its the fact you dont know you're telegraphing the pass. you cant tell on your end. but I can with my laggy connect.
thats how it works for these dudes that think they're good at the game. when in reality they are ok at best with a really laggy connection OR at worse they are intentionally lagging the game.

NOW granted this stuff is more a problem when playing other people online then anything else. but still. HOF is not some great mode for great players. its a mode where people that cheese and abuse exploits have figured out how to abuse so many exploits they need something to trump some of those and thats where HOF comes in. It makes you blow layups just to make the fg% legit. it makes you miss wide open shots just to make sure the fg% is legit. it has a catchup mechanic for the cpu, just like online my team for the person down by more then 8 points.
The #1 problem with 2k aside from too many animations. Is that every fix they have for their games when Sim players complain..Turns into something they end up getting rid of or doing something cheesy with the cpu. vs making it more realistic on defense/offense. so that those issues will not occur.
you need more realistic physics to counter the exploits and over abuse of things that would not work in real life. but they dont do that. they will just take something out of the game altogether or make some cheese on the other side to supposedly stop it.
you saw how they took out the 1-3-1 and box and 1 defense. thats because they know they cant speed up their passes(thats bad animations/physics, not my fault the pass is not super crisp coming from nba point guards), they can make sure the offensive players that are guys with high awareness will actually cut thru the seems of a tough zone. in real life, if someone runs a 1-3-1 on my team. I'm going to hit the seems, wait for a crisp pass. then attack, then the defense will converge on me(getting out of the zone. and i will then kick it again. this will lead to a wide open shot. doesnt work that way in 2k. thats why they take stuff out because they cant make it realistic enough on one end to counter the cheese effects. remember when they took out the hop step and now you have the euro cheese but not as bad as before. they think if they put these controls into different sticks vs just buttons it wont be as easy to perform. so that will stop the cheese. not necessary. what you should do is make the defense make them pay. without fake gimmics. if i have my big right there, whether or not i hold the charge button is not relevant. if my big gets ran over by a euro stepper, or a hop stepper. make me fall and call a charge, or no call and let that ball go flying out of dudes hand. i bet you he will stop that cheese ASAP. but they cant figure out how to pull that off on a consistent basis. so they go with the easier fix(just put it on a different button so not as many people do it).

Aint that serious to me breh. I work for a cable company and directly connected. And yes i meant online. I deal w lag from opponents 2 outta 10 games i guess.
Shot stick is nice positive reinforcement. Get it right a few times and youll know the shooters style. Quit cryin brehs
another thing I hate is when nikkas get the cavs, warriors, okc, houston ect and never take there starters out and keep calling timeout and spamming the turbo button
