It's the in game engine, the dropoff in quality between the replay mode and gameplay cameras is negligible. The game will probably look even more impressive in gameplay cameras because of the lighting & shading being so far more advanced than current gen.

preordered for ps3 and when my 4 comes ill take the trade in L and get this. i cant wait a month and a half to play a bball game i gotta work out the kinks early for the competition

I saying though, I played it on the 360 yesterday and it looked the same to me. The faces and animations are already perfect in 2K games.
