Can we do this 3 keepers without losing picks the next 2 , picks are effected what you think?

No, thats not an option on the game

Its not realistic for a team to have 9 new players every single year anyway though.

At that rate its no point in a franchise, we might as well just redraft every year

Nobody here does that

Thats too extreme of a solution to the problem

If someone tanked and they got the first pick we just manually give them the 10th pick. Theres no reason to force teams to choose between taking a rookie and giving up their best player.
True but I think it balances out to a degree considering most teams in the league will be keeping their best players. I think it helps keep teams balanced.

you have to release your best player to draft a rookie? :wtf: Man this shyt is stupid as fukk. :snoop:

Have you tested it out? Ive ran like 5 test drafts and it didnt balance anything, it just made for a lot of unnecessary changes

As a matter of fact the best teams in the league would benefit, because if their 2nd best player was like a 33 year old 83 rated player, they could release him and draft a top rookie because all the teams that drafted before chose to keep their 85-95 rated players over a rookie

The nba doesnt work like this at all. There is no reason to do this.

Don't get me wrong I completely hate this keeper shyt and prefer they just use regular contracts. The example you gave that best team you mentioned is still taking a hit by dropping that 83 rated player that can give one of the worse teams a talented veteran to pick up second round. To me it adds more of a strategy where you have to consider giving up the high rated veteran to go younger versus just each team keeping their best three players.

If im the 8th seed and inhave the 16th pick in the draft, i have to choose between keeping damian lillard and having no rookue or releasing lillard so i can get a rookie?

Whats wrong with the traditional way? Worst team fets the top pick? Thats jow the nba goes.

Imagine minnesota having to release andrew wiggims so they can draft karl towns. Then the next year theu can either keep towns and forfeit their pick or release towns so they can draft kris dunn

Thats not strategy its a treadmill
