I am by no means saying Dwight didn’t deserve to be on this list but I find it interesting how people now so fondly look back on his career because during his prime he was consistently labeled an underachiever and critiqued for his lack of offensive game. He wasn’t viewed as an all time great center in his prime and many attributed his success to playing in a very weak era for centers

Dwight should be in over AD but I'm thinking AD's PER got him in. He's 3rd All Time behind MJ and Lebron in PER. The nerds love that stat.
the problem with these lists is the lack of consistency/understanding of how it’s determined. End of the day AD is clearly a better player than Dwight and has a championship on his resume, so he checks the eye test better player box & is close on accolades depending on how heavily you weigh winning a title

For fukk sakes, enough is enough. How many times are they gonna push these irrelevant cacs from the 1950s? That is the most irrelevant NBA era of all time, other than a young Bill and Elgin who got drafted in the late 50s, the other all time greats showed up in NBA from the 1960s up to the current era.

They gotta cap the number of one hand dribble players on these lists.

Basketball has evolved too much to have them on there.

Yall nikkas are lacking context. Yes Dwight started off on a trajectory of being an all time great but he became a role player bouncing around playing on like 9 teams people don’t look at him the same. He hasn’t been that Dwight since he forced his way out Orlando. People ain’t putting no role playing journeyman on a 75 greatest players list I’m sorry to tell y’all

:mjlol:

Gary Payton ended his career as a journeyman as did Dennis Rodman.
