The fukk are you talking about? :what:

Ever heard of Shawn Bradley, Danny Ferry, Bryant Reeves, Keith Van Horn, Raef LaFrentz, Christian Laettner?

And those are just top 5 picks from the '90s.

Not to mention the fact that Adam Morrison was way before the analytics era.

Sit the fukk down if you don't know what ur talking about. :mjlol:
He's this way with all things NBA :snoop:

This might very well be the smartest dumbest thread I've seen on this section of the board. I could respect your position if you simply said basketball is purely entertainment for you, and therefore you weren't concerned with how the game is played and won through "analytics" - don't get me wrong it'd still be dumb, but at least I could understand it. Not only do you have ZERO grasp of how numbers work, not only do you have ZERO grasp of how basketball works, but you have a compete lack of any cotdamn sense, all the while trying to come off as if you know what you're talking about.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother posting on this board when it's littered with garbage like this. Ugh.

I don't really have an opinion on it, since I never took time to really study it. From what I understand the big increase in the 3 pt shots is due to analytics, so not being a fan of jump shots contests I guess I have a negative impression about it. But I'm just a fan :yeshrug:

For the people in here saying doubting analytics is self hate....i agree to an extent
but understand that ALOT of smart veteran coaches either lost jobs (lionel hollins, bryon scott) or can't even get an interview (pat ewing) because they don't employ analytics enough
advanced analytics enabled white nerds with no experience playing basketball at a high level to come in and start telling people what to do. many of those ppl losing control of the decision making process are black obviously so you can peep why so many black people are skeptical
how many black people are at sloan every yr? probably less than 30% of the total attendance, i know whenever I hear someone from the sloan conference getting interviewed it's never a black person
also remember when this shyt first started gaining momentum there were a lot of black former players and coaches questioning it and they were being called DUMB by the white nerds who never achieved shyt in the sport.
ultimately math is always going to win because "numbers don't lie" but let's chill on calling out black people who are uneasy about this shyt because the dynamics around how this first started getting adapted seemed kind of racist

Byron Scott is an awful, stubborn NBA head coach :scust:
