I'm not even going to entertain that steals comment.
First of all, the Clippers had the sixth best defense (the difference is important given top 3 basically goes against other players from 27+ other teams if we take how successful a team's defense is as a significant point of difference). Second of all, Paul took plays and games off regularly on the defensive end; more than your average guard to even be in the conversation of making either team in the first place. Mostly of which is due to having a bigger offensive load when BG was out. Thirdly, while he still has a high BBIQ and is in general a good team defender - he no longer has the ability to stay in front of guards. He's lost a lot of his lateral quickness and it showed all throughout the season. Out of all the elite PGs he was the worst defender.
Like I said, he's not even the best guard defender on his team - that honor goes to Rivers, shyt even Redikk was better than him on the defensive end this season.

It's not about his BBIQ, it's about how he performed on that end. He was not even remotely close to being the best defensive guard this season. He made the team on his reputation, rather than what he impact he had - the voters tend to do this every season.
