The NFL also has 53 man rosters as opposed to 15 in the NBA. Meaning there are more black players in the nfl than nba. Not based on a % but in total.

I dont think we can pinpoint this to how black folks act outside sports. I think its a lazy easy way out talking point. Outside of the lockeroom you have black folks of differnet genders a wider range of ages, likes, dislikes etc... In the lockeroom you're a unit your supposed to be a team so when something negative happens you really have 2 look at it closer
thanks for explaining further and you’re right based on roster spots there are more black players in the NFL

and I agree with your post as the Draymond Green example OP gave can really be attributed to him being an individual a$$hole.

it doesn't appear poor to me but this type of stuff is all about vantage points definitions and interpretations

The NFL brotherhood knows the game is a hurt sport so young & old players alike have a level of respect for each other. Yet Its harder to make the NBA than any professional sports league and players dont seem to share a unity around that.

It's harder to make the league because of height.

A 6'3" man would be considered small/smedium by NBA standards....yet that's 96th percentile for height. If you're reasonably athletic, 6'7"+ etc., it's probably A LOT easier to stick in the NBA than a 5'11" NFL running back with similar athletic ability.

I think a lot of older NBA brehs are jealous because of the money, even mediocre players make. The younger guys don't care because they've been coddled since AAU and got fat guaranteed contracts.

Hmm . . . I recall Jalen Ramsey having issues with Golden Tate and someone else. Multiple people don't like/talk shyt about Russell Wilson. Richard Jefferson likes to shut on random Black players as well. I disagree.
That went beyond the field. Tates sis is Jalen’s baby moms

That’s because even though the NBA is the hardest league to make, the perception of how the guys get there and sometimes stay there doesn’t line up. First off NFL guys gotta grind thru college. There’s guys who get drafted in the NBA who didn’t even do that great in college for that one year, guys that get drafted that didn’t even really play their college season. They get drafted purely off potential. And then u got so many guys who get paid without backing it up (ex Ben Simmons)which can’t really happen in the NFL or at least not as often.

That leads to players coming off as coddled to others in the community. Which maybe leads to players looking at each other sideways.

All players are the man and a star from 12. Most players in other sports get in where they fit it and are just a letterman jacket from a young age. Certain football positions can be divas but the still gotta depend on others so they cant go too far. Basketball players can be divas and truly believe they are the man until they get to the league and learn the hard way that they not even the man on their team. Thats a hard pill to swallow. Its much easier to hate and/or be messy than to be self aware and mature. Fans eat up the messiness too. So it gets you the attention that your play no longer can.

Its literally one of of not the hardest sport to make it as a professional out of the 3 major sports. Yet the brotherhood and ability to stay on code between each other, young to young, old to young…that shyt is in the toilet between the players.

Never seen a group of players tear each other down the way they treat each other. I just dont get it.

That Draymond-KAT shyt is disgraceful.
Man pull ya skirts down. Y’all really over blowing this all because you don’t like ole boy.

KD for example is constantly hyping guys up. Bron does it, Steph does it , PG does it.

We just had a whole thread of posters crying cuz Ant was hyping SGA. Todays players show more love to each other than any other point in league history

Because although it’s a team sport, the game is highly dependent upon the individuals. At some point you are going at everyone on the floor on both sides of the ball. So everyone can talk shyt to everyone and say who “ass they busted” and how they couldn’t do this or that like them, etc…..

In football not everyone is going at one another and you never have competition against someone playing your same position for obvious reasons. Baseball is for the most part a non contact sport where its batters against pitchers, but you wouldn’t compare batters and pitchers historically so they have no reason to carry an argument with each other.

Add in star value of NBA players. People know their faces and names so throw more weight on what they have to say. If a random NFL player talks shyt most fans aren't as emotionally invested in those players so it won't make highlights.

On top of that NFL players talk shyt too. Didn't somebody call Amen St-Brown slant boy. Micah Parsons caught heat for talking shyt about active players. It's just a case of if a tree falls in the forest and nobody hearing it.
