Seems like The NBA has tried to push away the Celtics vs La wars over the years

I wonder if they're trying to make sure other teams in the league get burn

Like they ran the numbers and figured out yeah you get monster ratings for Celtics Lakers but it doesn't drive viewership of other teams...and in aggregate the gains on viewership from Celtics Lakers are offset by viewership losses when other teams don't get put in the spotlight.

Otherwise...why mess with a classic.

Tomorrow is the Christmas, MLK, & opening week games. If they go by last year the whole schedule will probably be out in another week or so since it came out around August 14th.
